Baby heart rate?

So, I had my 8 week ultrasound yesterday and the baby%26#039;s heartrate was between 162 and 170! Has anyone heard that the higher the heartrate, the chance of a girl? my son%26#039;s was always in the 140%26#039;s. I know you can%26#039;t tell me what my baby is, that is not what I am asking... just wondering everyone elses experiences!

I%26#039;m 37 weeks pregnant and having a girl. Her heart rate is always between 138-142.

it is an old wives tale. Everything about my pregnancy from the heartbeat to the way i am carrying says its a boy, but i am having a girl. it is supposed to be that a heartbeat above 140 is a girl, below is a boy. good luck, only time will tell

And his heart rate is always between 160-167...

So a high heart rate doesn%26#039;t always mean girl :)

Mine was 171 at 10 weeks, and 160 at almost 14 weeks. I%26#039;m having a boy! You never know!

I%26#039;m currently pregnant with a little girl and her heart rate goes between 146-155. My SIL had a boy and a girl, and both of their heart rates stayed above 150.

My 8 week ultrasound because I was spotting the baby was fine the heart rate was 163 they said it was a girl now at 33 weeks it is 140 it is definately a boy- so don%26#039;t go by the heart rate this early

My babys heartbeat has been as low as 140 and as high as 166.

I can%26#039;t wait to find out the sex. Ultrasound in 2 more days =)

I am 36 weeks with a girl and her heart rate has varied through out my pregnancy, so I don%26#039;t see any correlation to heart rate and sex. She has been way up there and way down there. My OB said she is sleeping when it is lower.

Ya at 8 weeks my little boys was that fast and then as the weeks went by it got slower and now it ranges from 135-150.So wait to see if the heartbeat slows.If it doesn%26#039;t you just may have a girl.

My girl%26#039;s heart rate was always way over 140. But 8 weeks is too early to use heart-rate as an indicator regardless of whether it%26#039;s an old wives tale or not. Have to wait for 20 week scan and ask then :-)

Oh my baby heart beat is about 160. I live in the Mexican cultral of South Texas. These people believe in these wise tales. 90% of the time they can be right..

I had a woman tell me that my daughter (before I knew what I was having) would be a bueatiful little girl for I kept looking at the color purple..

I also love the one about the ring on the necklace.. If you take your husband%26#039;s or partner%26#039;s ring and loop it through a necklace of yours, then hold the necklace over your tummy, if it spins in a circle its a boy or if it (ring) sways from side to side than it is a girl..

I have to admit I did this one and the drano trick.. And both said a girl and that is what my daughter is.. I am wondering if the baby that I am having now is really a girl? For all my wives tales tell me that it is a boy!!

Go figure and who knows... I will know for shure on Friday!!
