How low would a person's heart rate have to be to need to be hospitalized?

And need to be heart monitored 24/7 and all that stuff? And bonus question if anyone knows, how high?

How low would a person%26#039;s heart rate have to be to need to be hospitalized?

The answer to this question is not a numerical number. Below 60 bpm is considered bradycardia or slow rate, however people live everyday with heart rates under 60, especially athletic people. The key to this question is the patient symptomatic at low heart rates. Is the patient having chest pains, are they dizzy, do they have problems breathing, do they get light headed. There is not a defentive number at which a person is hospitalized. Any rate above 100 is considered tachycardic, or fast. There in also, is your patient symptomatic. I would see a doc about symptomatic abnormal heart rates. I would also see them personally if my heart rate dropped below 50 and if got above 120. That is abnormal for me.

Judging by your ability to ask a question like this I would say you do not have brain damage.

How low would a person%26#039;s heart rate have to be to need to be hospitalized?

I would say lower than 60 and higher than 180.

Top number reading lower than 90 or pressure 25 mmHg lower than usual

160 or over or the bottom number reads 100 or over

How low would a person%26#039;s heart rate have to be to need to be hospitalized?

0 beats per minute I don%26#039;t know maybe ask the doctor to get you a stress test to see how well the ticker is working

How low would a person%26#039;s heart rate have to be to need to be hospitalized?

dangerous heart rates vary depending on a patients physical condition and other factors. normal is a relative term and what is normal for one person is not always true for another. typically the range is 60-150 (ACLS guidelines) but some athletes can be fine with rates below 60....it depends on what symptoms they are having. if the person is hypotensive (low blood pressure and dizzy say, then it is a problem. heart rates over 150 with chest pain and shortness of breath are also problematic. if there is fever present, sometimes they will come down with simple tylenol. i hope this helps. it is not a simple question.

How low would a person%26#039;s heart rate have to be to need to be hospitalized?

30 bpm

How low would a person%26#039;s heart rate have to be to need to be hospitalized?

depends on the patient. there is no clear answer because the bp is just one test.

Sharp stabbing chest pain, shakey....rapid heart rate?

I have been having a lot of abdominal pain, after gallbladder surgery a year and half ago. But now it seems my back is out of whack and I am having a lot of upper chest pain, and some sharp stabbing chest pain along with some shaking. Anyone have a clue. I can also feel my heart in my throat.

Sharp stabbing chest pain, shakey....rapid heart rate?

I had similar problems to this after I had my gull bladder out. My chest pain got so bad that I even went to the er and they found nothing. Thankfully I found an awesome doctor that told me it was a form of heartburn that you get after you get your gallbladder removed. If it happens now I just take some liquid malox and it goes away quickly. It gets worse when you panic so try and stay calm and always have malox on hand.

Sharp stabbing chest pain, shakey....rapid heart rate?

infection,stress,pulled muscles,anxiety

Sharp stabbing chest pain, shakey....rapid heart rate?

Sounds as if you need to check your diet - removal of the gallbladder doesn%26#039;t solve stomach issues. The rest of the symptoms sound like anxiety attacks, but you need to consult a doctor - not Yahoo. I wish you the best.

Sharp stabbing chest pain, shakey....rapid heart rate?

Hello,

It could be a panic/anxiety attack-it does mimic a heart attack. The same chemicals are produced-and one feels as though they are going to die-it is very, very real only thing is the mind has tremendous potential to also create havoc with our bodies as in the mind/body connection. My advice is to have a stress test and Angiogram to determine if you have any obstructions or narrowing in the major arteries of your heart or if you smoke you could not be getting enough oxgyen to the heart alerting the body%26#039;s response mechanism something is wrong-if one suffers from sleep apnea it can also cause all kinds of problems for our body-that way you can rule that out any physical findings. Then you can concentrate on the mind part of it like talking to someone one-on-one. If one has suffered from this condition it is a mulit-prong approach and understanding from loved ones. It is a matter of finding postive coping mechanisms to deal with past trauma. Sometimes, we react to situations without checking it out when it %26quot;first happens%26quot; so our mind thinks the worst when it wasn%26#039;t that way at all. Someone once mentioned to me about another person %26quot;If you change the way you think-you change the way to act.%26quot; I guess it is attitude-it is very important and the people one surrounds themselves with-meaning other people who are working on their own issues. Our behavior is liken to a pebble in a pond-as the pebble lands on the surface of the water the effect continues outward large circular rings from the one pebble. God Bless you Wild Beagle, hope this helps...

What does caffeine do to your heart rate?

Please tell me the effects of caffeine and what it does to your heart and would it help you for a sport such as running?

What does caffeine do to your heart rate?

Caffeine will speed up your heart rate, but if you take to much you will get an upset stomach, nervousness and have trouble falling asleep, I don%26#039;t recommend it at all if you are running. Get plenty of carbs, try pasta right before and you should have the fuel you need good luck.

What does caffeine do to your heart rate?

Caffeine causes heart rate to increase. I%26#039;m not a doctor or anything, but it probably wouldn%26#039;t help much for sports performance because when your heart is already pumping fast, it doesn%26#039;t benefit from the extra boost. Plus, there%26#039;s a caffeine %26quot;crash%26quot; after a few hours.

1. Why do you think your heart rate stays high even after you閳ユ獫e stopped exercising?

2. If you閳ユ獫e ever watched a really scary movie, or have felt very nervous, you might have noticed that your heart is beating fast even though you haven閳ユ獩 been exercising. Why do you think this is?

1. Why do you think your heart rate stays high even after you閳ユ獫e stopped exercising?

1A.Because it can%26#039;t stop instantly, it takes a small amount of time to slow down.

2A.Because your body is reacting to the image seen in the brain, in other words. everybody%26#039;s body had eyes %26gt;_%26gt;

1. Why do you think your heart rate stays high even after you閳ユ獫e stopped exercising?

1. It%26#039;s called the recovery period--You should ALWAYS do a cooldown, like walking around a track, or walking on a treadmill at a slow speed for five minutes upon finishing your cardio workout.

2. Adrenaline-it%26#039;s the chemical thet fuels the fight or flight response.

Why does my dog have irregular heart rate?

i have a small lasa apsa dog, his heart beats at even interveals sometimes, but it goes irregular others, specially has he inhales, i think, i dont know what this is, your help would be apreciated

Why does my dog have irregular heart rate?

All young mammals have rate differences during inhaling and exhaling. Humans do too. Did you actually have a vet check it, or are you just worried about something you hear?

Electrical problems of the node are congenital if the vet happens to think this is a problem. The good news is that most are simply functional arrhythmias.

Why does my dog have irregular heart rate?

A dog%26#039;s heart does not beat the same way as a human. Are you sure you aren%26#039;t just confused?

If you really think there is something wrong ask the vet they will know.

Why does my dog have irregular heart rate?

the same reason why humans have irregular heart beats.

Why does my dog have irregular heart rate?

You are describing something that sounds like NSR - Normal Sinus Rhythm in dogs. Almost every dog has this, and it is completely normal.

Pulsus paradoxus is a decrease in pulse pressure during inspiration and an increase in pulse pressure during expiration. This is a normal occurrence in animals, but, it is usually too subtle to observe on physical examination.

If you have any concerns about arrhythmias or heart murmurs, your veterinarian or local specialty referral hospital will be able to accurately ascult (listen) to your pets heart and detect any concerning abnormalities.

Why does my dog have irregular heart rate?

always run, walk, hyper active and the temperature is different compare to human

What does it mean to have a fast resting heart rate?

I took a 10 second test of my pulse and it was 15 my doctor said my heart beat was fast what does this mean. heart disease heart attack possibilities????

What does it mean to have a fast resting heart rate?

Most commonly, a fast resting heart rate just means that you are out of shape. Your heart is working very hard to do common activities because of the lack of strenuous activity or exercise. If you are not out of shape, you may have actual heart problems, but your dr. probably would have given you a Cardio referral.

What does it mean to have a fast resting heart rate?

A heart rate of 90 is somewhat fast for a resting heartrate. Could mean that you are dehydrated. Anxious?

What does it mean to have a fast resting heart rate?

It could mean that you are under a lot of stress but if the heart rate remains rapid you should get some medicine that will lower it down. also you need to have blood work done, see and internist, and possibly get a referall to a cardiologist if necessary. Switch doctors. He is not a good communicator and you deserve the best that the medical profession has to offer

What does it mean to have a fast resting heart rate?

If the Dr wasn%26#039;t concerned, I wouldn%26#039;t either. Exercises some times helps...if continues have him refer you or check it again. Don%26#039;t diagnose your self.

Why do i wake up with a fast heart rate if i don't drink?

sometimes i wake up during the night and my heart is racing as if i%26#039;m having a panic attack. it takes ages for it to return to normal regardless of how much i try to calm down. i don%26#039;t remember having had a nightmare or an especially %26#039;active%26#039; dream prior to waking, although it%26#039;s possible i did and just don%26#039;t remember.

a similar thing used to happen to me when i drank alcohol, but i%26#039;ve since stopped drinking so it can%26#039;t be alchohol-related. i eat a stable, healthy diet and exercise daily. does anyone know why this is happening?? i have a normal heart beat during the day...

Why do i wake up with a fast heart rate if i don%26#039;t drink?

hopefully it is nothing serious. However, if you answer yes to any of the following when your heart is racing, then you should see a doc:

chest pain, shortness of breath, lightheadedness.

Why do i wake up with a fast heart rate if i don%26#039;t drink?

I am 39 and female and i have same it might be related to hypoglycaemia or a high level of cortisol. Anyways reduce stress and worry. Is you bloodpressure not too high?

Why do i wake up with a fast heart rate if i don%26#039;t drink?

Your idea of having nightmares is my best guess. And a lot of the time people do not remember their dreams. When in REM sleep, your mind is organizing memories and producing dreams; any thought [that your brain creates during sleep] can trigger your heart beat to race.

If you don%26#039;t drink? Do you mean not drinking enough water:

Your heart may have to work extra hard to pump blood to your body and brain if you are lacking fluids in your diet (Remember that a lot of your blood is made up of water). Also, for different people [maybe for you!] a lack of water or even something you ate or drank right before bed, can cause a reaction in the body where your veins will

Shrink and become narrow: blood travels much faster.

or

Widen: it is harder for the heart to pump blood when the blood vessels are wider.

Create a journal and record what you have eaten, drank, and any physical/mental activites you participate in 8-10 hours before bed. This may help you come up with your own answer to you problem!

Why do i wake up with a fast heart rate if i don%26#039;t drink?

see a doc, that happens to me when i retain fluids...

What can I eat or take to lower heart rate?

Sometimes my heart races very quickly for a significant time period. I was wondering if theres some home remedy or over the counter drug I can take to slow my heart down.

What can I eat or take to lower heart rate?

trust me on this one GHB!!!!!!!! this will rock your would if the chemist made it right!!!!!!!!!!!!

What can I eat or take to lower heart rate?

i have this problem sometimes too. if im in an excited moment or stressed for a moment, it will start to race, sometimes lasting more than a day. i wont feel faint or anything, it will just beat faster. id go see a doctor (though i havent) becos it could be signs of something serious. check your family%26#039;s medical history, that could show heart disease risks. hope this helps

Is ot ok the exercise if your heart rate ia almost 100- I am for real.?

I just bought a machine to help get my heart in shape.

Is ot ok the exercise if your heart rate ia almost 100- I am for real.?

If you *normally* have a resting heart rate of high 90s and you have been checked by a doctor, then its fine. But if this is unusual for you, get a doctor to check you first. Some people just normally have a high resting heart rate (which is associated with poor cardiovascular fitness). Stress and caffeine can raise your resting heart rate too.

Is ot ok the exercise if your heart rate ia almost 100- I am for real.?

If your resting heart rate is 100, you should see a doctor soon. Try checking it again in the moring just before you get out of bed. That%26#039;s the slowest beat for the day. The fitter you are, the slower it will be.

Is ot ok the exercise if your heart rate ia almost 100- I am for real.?

Normal rates for an adult is 60-100.

Hypoglycemia, has to do with diabetus, and a diabetic condition causes heart problems, so yes you could have all these irregular beats/crazy pulses due to your new diagnosis of hypoglycemia.

Can eating a salty meal increase your heart rate? Create palpitations?

My heart races, it seems to happen after I eat as well.....

Can eating a salty meal increase your heart rate? Create palpitations?

salt contain of natrium which have to retention the water in your body,,, in so much increase volume weighty of heart.

palpitations is mechanisme compensation your heart for adequate cardiac output.

Can eating a salty meal increase your heart rate? Create palpitations?

The link between high salt intake and blood pressure has never been proved. Some recent studies indicate there is no link at all.

It is more likely you ate something with lots of MSG in it, like chinese food. That definitely can make your heart race.

Can eating a salty meal increase your heart rate? Create palpitations?

It might be sugar in your meal. Monitor what you eat and how you feel afterward.

6w2d pregnant, ultrasound today showed baby's heart rate at 110 bpm. Is this too low?

Hearing my first baby%26#039;s heartbeat today was the most beautiful sound in the world. But I am worried about it. The nurse and ultrasound tech told me it was normal, however, everything I have read %26amp; researched makes it seem too low.

Did anyone else hear a heart beat at this time? What was the bpm?

6w2d pregnant, ultrasound today showed baby%26#039;s heart rate at 110 bpm. Is this too low?

That early in pregnancy, the heartbeat is low compared to what it becomes later on. You have probably been reading stuff that is talking about a little further along in pregnancy. The u/s tech and the nurse know what they%26#039;re talkinga bout, and they wouldn%26#039;t just say everything is fine if there were truly a reason to be concerned. http://www.i-am-pregnant.com/encyclopedi...

What can i do to slow my heart rate?

this has happened once before, i couldnt sleep and i linked it to the fact that i ahd done a very strenous workout earlier that day, more strenous than normal. Well its happening again right now and i hate it. I also attribute it to the fact that yesterday i took some caffeine pills to study for a test, so the combo isnt going great for me. My heart is racing and my chest and arms feel sore. What can i do to make this go away?

I mean like right now make it go away, right this seecond. not in the future.

What can i do to slow my heart rate?

submerge yourself in a bath. The water pressure will slow your blood flow.

Concentrate on breathing slowly and deeply, in through your nose, out through your mouth.

What can i do to slow my heart rate?

relaxation music is the best!!! i love it!! you can feel yourself sink in the mattress, try it :o) xXx

What can i do to slow my heart rate?

call 911

What can i do to slow my heart rate?

sup 4 bottles o wisky

What can i do to slow my heart rate?

try some deep breathing

breathe in through your nose deeply

let it out through your mouth slowly

What can i do to slow my heart rate?

There%26#039;s not much you can do I believe to lessen the effects of caffeine, but seeing how it%26#039;s been a while since you took them, I suspect it%26#039;s a combination of things. Try to lie down, calm down, distract your attention, ebcause focusing on it will amke you feel stressed and anxious most likely, which will only increase your heartbeat. Try to listen to some calming music while lying down in the dark.

What can i do to slow my heart rate?

Do something relaxing. If you have a fish tank, watching fish is supposed to calm you.

What can i do to slow my heart rate?

relax, maybe get a massage, sit in a chair, head down, and breate in and out very slowly, about 5-8 times.

What can i do to slow my heart rate?

Well part of it is that you are worried about it.

Which in turn will make it worse. It sounds like it could be a panic or anxiety attack. Try to just focus on your breathing. just listen to your breathing for as long as you can without letting your mind wander. Your chest and arms feel sore because you are tensing up your body. Make a conscience effort to relax your muscles and body. The caffeine I%26#039;m sure didn%26#039;t help. Most anxiety attacks last about 20 minutes to a half hour. try to calm your self down.

If you find you cant focus and relax. Make a brownie mix. Or do something that requires your focus to be on something other than your body.

If it continues or gets worse as far a crushing or sever pain in your chest go to the ER. But to me it sounds like you%26#039;ve freaked yourself out.

I speak from my own experience.

You will be OK.

What can i do to slow my heart rate?

Try to slow your breathing. Very slow breaths in, hold for a second, very slow out. This can slow the heart rate.

I%26#039;ve had that feeling too---if you don%26#039;t have a tranquilizer on hand (Valium, Xanax) then slow breathing is the best option.

Drink water, too, to help flush the caffiene out.

What can i do to slow my heart rate?

massaging your vagal nerve may help the easiest way to do this would be to press your thumbs into the bone over your eyes just inside your eye socket its hard to describe but if you do it right it should work just imagine having a brain freeze and press from the bridge of your nose and run your thumb along the bottom of your eyelids. hope this works otherwise try putting your thumb on your mouth and taking a deep breath before closing your mouth and blowing as hard as you can on your thumb (as if your trying to spit it out) sounds silly but try it.

What can i do to slow my heart rate?

Try pressure on carotid sinus on side of neck.

What can i do to slow my heart rate?

Caffeine pills are the reason why your heart rate is fast. But how fast? I would suggest to sit still and breathe really deeply and very slowly. ( 5sec to breathe in and 5sec to breathe out). Hope this helps.

What does it mean when they say the fetus heart rate is slowing?

i am 6 weeks pregnant and went to the ER as i was spotting... they took me for an ultrasound and the lady was showing the baby and the heart beat... but after the DR got the results he said the fetuses heartbeat was slowing, he was concerned but the 2nd dr said they can%26#039;t say that as in early pregnancy it drops and speeds up all the time... i have a follow up u/s tomorrow but neither DR explained what any of it mean%26#039;t as the spotting isn%26#039;t painful

What does it mean when they say the fetus heart rate is slowing?

Just stay in bed until you have to leave for your appointment, and try not to worry. They will do the ultrasound tomorrow and give you a better idea of what%26#039;s going on.

Let us know what happens!

What does it mean when they say the fetus heart rate is slowing?

Not sure, do you know the how many beats per minute it was at? 118 - 120 is normal.

On millsberry how do you get your heart rate up?

i need to get my heart stat up its 28% right now so i need it higher to get a different belt and does anyone know what the percentage has to be so i can nget the next karate belt?

On millsberry how do you get your heart rate up?

I don%26#039;t know how to calculate the percentage, but I do know how to get your health up. You eat food that has those different colored triangles beside it - a variety would be nice - and wait for a long time (most likely a day) and your health would automatically go up. some excercise would do also

On millsberry how do you get your heart rate up?

You have to change your person%26#039;s clothes every day and follow the 5 food groups and play games.

Im not a runner, but my resting heart rate is 35-45 bpm?

Many of my friends that are distance runners don%26#039;t have a resting heartbeat that low. I%26#039;m not participating in any strenuous athletic activities right now, and never really have. I%26#039;m not in that bad shape but I%26#039;m not a super athlete or anything and don%26#039;t do yoga or anything like that, and I%26#039;m not away of any family heart conditions. Why is my heartbeat that low?

Im not a runner, but my resting heart rate is 35-45 bpm?

Are you sure it was taken correctly?

It would be a good idea to see a doctor. You may just have a naturally low heart rate, but there%26#039;s always a chance something else might be going on, especially if you%26#039;re not in very good shape and have a resting heart rate that low.

Im not a runner, but my resting heart rate is 35-45 bpm?

good genes, mine used to be 54, but I had a heart problem that require open heart surgery and now its like 68, but mine was low just because it was low, it had nothing to do with my heart problem

Im not a runner, but my resting heart rate is 35-45 bpm?

wow, ur like almost dead! thats amazing.

How many beats per minute must I get my heart rate up to when I excercise and how long must I mainta

I am a 38 year old male that is concerned with my heart health. What is the best excercise to do to improve cardiovascular health ? I do not want to die of a sudden heart attack. I am a little nervous because I do not excercise.

How many beats per minute must I get my heart rate up to when I excercise and how long must I maintain it ?

Since you are a beginner exercise 60% of your maximum heart rate and slowly work up to 80% of your maximum heart rate. Your maximum heart rate is 220 minus your age. So if you are 38 your maximum heart rate is 182. So for you I would start at 110 beats per minute. Another test is if you can not carry a conversation while exercising then you are exercising too hard. You should be able to carry a conversation while exercising.

How many beats per minute must I get my heart rate up to when I excercise and how long must I maintain it ?

about 120 to 165, and maintain for 30 min, if it goes over, stop!

that%26#039;s bout it, as u get older lower the rate

What could be the cause of a fast heart rate?

for no possible reason because i could be sitting not doing anything or just maybe something simple like walking and i%26#039;m not overweight or anything and i%26#039;m only 17.I went to the doctor back in august for other reasons and they said i had high blood pressure both times i went but when i bought a the thing to check it daily myself it didn%26#039;t read high either time and when i went to the doctor one said it was 156 and something. When my heart beat%26#039;s fast i get dizzy and feel kinda sick (sometimes) also for a year now i been hearing ringing in my ear%26#039;s twenty four seven and at first it drove me crazy but now only if i go into quite room%26#039;s.

What could be the cause of a fast heart rate?

It could be possible that you have an SVT (supraventricular tachycardia) which is a rapid heart rate, it is quite common in chidren %26amp; young adults. It is what they call, a fault in the electrical pathway that regulates your heart rate. There is a procedure called an EPS (electrophysiological study) where they look for abnormalities in the heart%26#039;s electrical pathway. SVT usually first develops in childhood or adolesence, which you fit into. Episodes occur for no apparent reason but could be triggered by exertion and by caffeine %26amp; alcohol. When an episode happens the heart rate can go anywhere from 140-180bpm %26amp; even higher sometimes. All your symptoms point to this, but another symptom may be pain in the chest or neck. I would ask for a referral to a Cardiology Specialist. The ringing in the ears, I%26#039;m sorry, I cannot help you with, however, it is not likely anything to do with your heart side of things. Please get a second opinion %26amp; a referral to a Specialist, just to be on the safe side.

What could be the cause of a fast heart rate?

it can possibly be a lack of cardio exersize. my heart rate is abround 65

What could be the cause of a fast heart rate?

You need some exersize.. but before, do consult a good doctor...

What could be the cause of a fast heart rate?

The rapid heart rate could be a sign of a lot of things. The ringing in the ears is called Tinnitus which can and should be diagnosed by your doctor. As far as the high resting heart rate. At your age it could be a multitude of things. It is also possible that the ringing in the ears and heart rate/blood pressure reading could be related or connected. Anywhere from an inner ear problem to heart disease.

Keep going to the Doctor until you get it figured out. At your age you shouldn%26#039;t be having heart problems. but it is a distinct possibility. So be very demanding about getting the diagnosis and help you need. You deserve to know whats going on and get the treatment you need. Be sure to keep track of any and all symptoms no matter how small you may think they are...the information you give your doctor could make a big difference in you getting better.

I'm 18 weeks pregnant and my resting heart rate is 108?

Is this OK? For the last 3 weeks, my heart has been beating really hard and fast, and I know that%26#039;s normal, but is 108 out of control? I literally haven%26#039;t even walked anywhere in like an hour.

I%26#039;m 18 weeks pregnant and my resting heart rate is 108?

I just went through this myself. My resting is 109 usually, when I do anything physical it shoots up to around 136. Feels like my heart is pounding through my chest I can feel it in my ears and my throat and my head and sometimes my arms. I can%26#039;t breath and feel a little faint. And sometimes that happens when I am sitting on the couch, or even waking up from a nap. My heart rate prior to pregnancy was 65. I freaked out and my OB doc sent me to a cardiologist. Turns out I have a heart murmur. Not too serious but it explains why I have pain. Knowing this makes it easier to deal with what is happening, and knowing it doesn%26#039;t hurt the baby is a load off of me. I guess I have had it all my life, just didn%26#039;t notice until now. The doc says the pain should go away after I have the baby, and to practice Lamaze. The breathing and focus should help when it gets out of control. I signed up for a class right away. Talk to your OB and be pushy about it. If you feel that uncomfortable, your body is telling you something. Good Luck!!!

I%26#039;m 18 weeks pregnant and my resting heart rate is 108?

hi in pregnancy heart pump more blood so heart rate increases its normal some time u will feel palpitation but ur blood pressure should be normal so check it every antinatel visit

good luck

I%26#039;m 18 weeks pregnant and my resting heart rate is 108?

It all depends on what your normal resting heart rate is when you%26#039;re not pregnant. If it%26#039;s 60, then yes, 108 would be high. But your normal resting heart rate might be 85 so 108 would be perfectly normal when you%26#039;re pregnant and your blood volume has increased so much.

I%26#039;m 15 weeks pregnant and whenever I lie down and check my pulse, it%26#039;s about 100-104. It feels like the blood is pounding through my body, and I haven%26#039;t been exerting myself at all.

Basically, pregnancy is really a strain on your circulatory system. And when you lie down and your lungs are somewhat compressed, it may create even more strain. If I lie on my side, it alleviates the sensation somewhat.

My hands and feet get very warm and heart rate rises?

My hands and feet get very warm while my heart beat increases to 80 - 85 wihtout any apparetnt reason. The entire body remains at a normal temperature, I do not know what is happening as this is very uncomfortable, Can some tell whats happening, there are no other symptoms, I fell perfectly fine otherwise !

My hands and feet get very warm and heart rate rises?

Are you male of female? I%26#039;m a female age 42 and going threw perimenopause. This happens to me often. But my pulse usually runs 80 normally...mine gets to 95-100 when this happens. I had all kinds of heart tests done and also hormone levels checked and the doctors determined that it was fluctuating hormone levels. It usually happens the most during ovulation (day 13-14 after my period starts) and then again at PMS time. I hate it and somethings it can throw me into a complete panic attack causing my heart rate to go higher. Please see your doctor, I%26#039;m just telling you my experiences.

Will using the stair climber machine get my heart rate up?

When I jog up and down regular stairs it gets my heart going. Will the machine have the same benifits during a work out?

Will using the stair climber machine get my heart rate up?

of course it will that is exercise too.

Will using the stair climber machine get my heart rate up?

set it on 10 and find out...

Do you have to sweat to increase your heart rate?

I ride my bike to work. Roughly 1.8 miles. I do this 4 times a day (morning, noon, 1:00 and evening.) I am hoping it helps my heart, but I don%26#039;t really sweat. I do get a little winded though.

Do you have to sweat to increase your heart rate?

Sweat is your body%26#039;s way of cooling you off. I don%26#039;t know if it%26#039;s necessary but you should feel your heart rate accelerate. You can take your pulse. That will give you an indication if you are working hard enough.

http://www.ginmiller.com/gmf06/articles/...

Check out the link before for additional information.

Do you have to sweat to increase your heart rate?

it depends. some people sweat very little. if your curious if you are working your heart, get a monitor. heck now there are some out for under 40. it will tell you what your heart is actually doing.

Do you have to sweat to increase your heart rate?

try drink alot of water thats gonna help u...

Do you have to sweat to increase your heart rate?

No, even walking increases your heart rate. Regular exercise at a low level is better than hard exercise less frequently. You are doing several miles a day, so that%26#039;s good for fitness, no matter what speed you do it at. Some people sweat more easily than others anyway. So it isn%26#039;t always an indication of level of exercise.

Do you have to sweat to increase your heart rate?

what you are doing is good for your heart and over all health keep it up, if your breathing is up so is your heart rate, biking is good exercise

When you were pregnant, did your baby's heart rate correlate to their sex?

Just heard the heart tones and my doc said they%26#039;re 144 beats per minute..so he said he thinks it%26#039;s a girl. Anybody else want to share if their baby%26#039;s heartrate matched what sex they were. (140 and under is supposed to be a boy, 141 and up is a girl.)

When you were pregnant, did your baby%26#039;s heart rate correlate to their sex?

When Iwas pregant with my daughter(she will be a year old Sunday) her heartbeat was always 144. I am almost 31 weeks pregant and this ones heartbeat is 140 and they say it is a little boy.

When you were pregnant, did your baby%26#039;s heart rate correlate to their sex?

My oldest child is 27 years old. Back then they did not do somograms so the only way to determine the sex was by the heartrate. My doctor told me it was a girl and he was correct. Then with my son the same thing happened. I do believe that the heartrate can determine the sex of the baby .

When you were pregnant, did your baby%26#039;s heart rate correlate to their sex?

I think it was only right with one of my children (I have 5). When the baby moves around in the womb it%26#039;s heartrate accelerates. So if you think about it... a boy could have a %26quot;girls heartrate%26quot; because he is active.

When you were pregnant, did your baby%26#039;s heart rate correlate to their sex?

You know what. I did a LOT of research on that when I was pregnant with my 3rd child. I had heard it for my boy (and it was correct) and I had heard it for my girl (also correct). But then it was incorrect for my 3rd baby (girl). And here is why, the heart beat ONLY correlates to the sex of the baby WHILE you%26#039;re in active labor. So it was just luck that it was right for my first two. And that is pretty well accurate!

When you were pregnant, did your baby%26#039;s heart rate correlate to their sex?

it did with mine i%26#039;ve had 4 and one on the way except this time it%26#039;s strange for the first couple months the heart rate 160 but yesterday 130 so i%26#039;m like ok just when i thought i knew i was having a girl it changed on me but i think it%26#039;s mostly been accurate for me.

When you were pregnant, did your baby%26#039;s heart rate correlate to their sex?

My son%26#039;s heartbeat was around 135 to 145. I have a friend who has 5 boys and they all had heartbeats of around 150. So it isn%26#039;t always correct but sometimes I%26#039;m sure it is. Ultrasounds are really the best bet in determining the sex of a baby and sometimes those aren%26#039;t always right either!!!!!

good luck and congrats!

When you were pregnant, did your baby%26#039;s heart rate correlate to their sex?

No! My baby%26#039;s heart beat was always around 160....and it was a boy!! Before they had ultrasounds, that was one way for the doctor to make an educated guess, but as you can see from me, it definatly is not garunteed!

When you were pregnant, did your baby%26#039;s heart rate correlate to their sex?

both my boys heart rates were around 155 per minute so I guess not.

When you were pregnant, did your baby%26#039;s heart rate correlate to their sex?

Yep. My girl%26#039;s heartbeat was 175 the first time we heard it. We %26quot;knew%26quot; we were having a girl! Some of my other girlfriends went thru the same thing... girls definitely have higher heartrates than boys.

When you were pregnant, did your baby%26#039;s heart rate correlate to their sex?

Mine did...I had a boy...the heartrate was always around 130 -135

33 WKS PREG! IS IT NORM THAT THE BABYS HEART RATE is IN THE 130'S AFTER ALL THIS TIME! ITS NEVE

ALSO I HADN%26#039;T EATEN ANYTHING ALL DAY B-C I HAD NO APPETITE! SO COULD THAT BE THE CAUSE OF A LOW HEART BEAT OR WAS MY BABY JUST ASLEEP?

33 WKS PREG! IS IT NORM THAT THE BABYS HEART RATE is IN THE 130%26#039;S AFTER ALL THIS TIME! ITS NEVER BEEN THAT LO

Babies heart rates are usually between 120-160. Most will say a heart rate in the 130%26#039;s is a boy, but it could be a girl that is sleeping too!

If you are worried, give your doc or nurse a call in the morning (if it would go lower or you don%26#039;t feel movement, call right away). NEVER be afraid of calling to ask questions to your doc or nurse...that is what they are there for and what you pay them for!

When I was pregnant with my second baby I had no idea if I was in labor or not. I argued with my mother because my back was killing me and it felt like I had to keep going to the bathroom. She told me I was having back labor and I was telling her, %26quot;I think I know what labor is, after all I did have a baby already!%26quot;...forgetting that she had me and my brother! LOL Since this was about 1am, I hated to call my doc and wake him up, so I decided to call the hospital where I was going to deliver and asked for the labor and delivery department and talked to a nurse there (after all they are there 24/7 and awake at all times, so I felt better doing that!). The nurse was very nice and told me it was quite possible that I was in labor and it would probably be a good idea to head on over and get checked out...so I did. I was in labor and by the time I got to the hospital I was 8cm dialted! What a shock!

In all of this heat, even if you don%26#039;t feel like eating, you need to take in fluids. It%26#039;s very important for you and the baby to stay hydrated and out of the heat. It%26#039;s very hard for a baby to regulate their temperature while they are in you and soon after birth. Stay as cool as possible. If you can%26#039;t eat, how about a shake or drinking a fruit smoothie...nice and cool and refreshing, not to mention you%26#039;ll get some juice in you too.

Remember, give your doc a call if you are concerned...better to be safe than sorry. No question is stupid if you have it...it needs to be answered so that you understand it. Believe me, the docs and nurses have heard them all before so they won%26#039;t be surprised or think it%26#039;s stupid.

Good luck %26amp; stay cool...

33 WKS PREG! IS IT NORM THAT THE BABYS HEART RATE is IN THE 130%26#039;S AFTER ALL THIS TIME! ITS NEVER BEEN THAT LO

120-160 is normal. Don%26#039;t worry. I am 19 weeks and my baby%26#039;s heartrate changes with every visit and the doc said it is normal.

33 WKS PREG! IS IT NORM THAT THE BABYS HEART RATE is IN THE 130%26#039;S AFTER ALL THIS TIME! ITS NEVER BEEN THAT LO

Babies don%26#039;t move around that much late in pregnancy, not alot of room to do so. If you are worried, then you need to do a kick count or call your doctor. Heart rate might be down because he isn%26#039;t moving around so much. Sounds to me like you are having a boy! Congrats!!!

33 WKS PREG! IS IT NORM THAT THE BABYS HEART RATE is IN THE 130%26#039;S AFTER ALL THIS TIME! ITS NEVER BEEN THAT LO

I have heard it could be in the 130%26#039;s your baby is probably asleep when it is that low. Also I think you are having a boy. Usually boy%26#039;s have a lower heart rate then girls.

33 WKS PREG! IS IT NORM THAT THE BABYS HEART RATE is IN THE 130%26#039;S AFTER ALL THIS TIME! ITS NEVER BEEN THAT LO

Normal fetal heart rate is between 120 and 160 beats per minute, so there%26#039;s nothing wrong with 130. And there is no difference between male and female heart rates.

http://www.drspock.com/article/0,1510,98...

33 WKS PREG! IS IT NORM THAT THE BABYS HEART RATE is IN THE 130%26#039;S AFTER ALL THIS TIME! ITS NEVER BEEN THAT LO

totally normal hun, it drops a lot lower right before delivery. rest easy!

33 WKS PREG! IS IT NORM THAT THE BABYS HEART RATE is IN THE 130%26#039;S AFTER ALL THIS TIME! ITS NEVER BEEN THAT LO

It is normal for a babies heart rate to be that. 130 is average for many babies.

What is not good is that you decided not to eat because of no appetite. You baby need the nourishment and if you don%26#039;t eat it will get it one way or another. First from you and then it will be effected by it. And if the baby gets your portion of nourishment you will physically pay the price for it.

Whether you are hungry or not you need to force yourself to eat something health.

33 WKS PREG! IS IT NORM THAT THE BABYS HEART RATE is IN THE 130%26#039;S AFTER ALL THIS TIME! ITS NEVER BEEN THAT LO

i have 2 boys and their rates were like that. its normal. when a person is bigger it takes more time for blood to pump back to their heart which makes for lower pulse. the baby is growing bigger! congrats! if it isnt below 120 then dont worry.thats what my doc said.

33 WKS PREG! IS IT NORM THAT THE BABYS HEART RATE is IN THE 130%26#039;S AFTER ALL THIS TIME! ITS NEVER BEEN THAT LO

That%26#039;s within the normal range (about 120 to 160). It%26#039;s possible that baby was just sleeping when the HR was checked.

Take care of yourself sweetie! Keep some food in that tummy for you and your baby. Anything you can get down is good.....fruit juice popsicles, crackers, protein shakes.....you and baby need calories!

33 WKS PREG! IS IT NORM THAT THE BABYS HEART RATE is IN THE 130%26#039;S AFTER ALL THIS TIME! ITS NEVER BEEN THAT LO

Usual range for foetal heart rate is from 120-160 beats per minute.Heart rate of a normal, healthy baby will even extend outside this range.the rate depend on and

-could be caused by anything affecting maternal heart rate including level of activity of the mother, fewer, drugs, caffeine and smoking

-or placental blood flow, uterine contractions(especially in labor) and flow of blood through the cord

-or the level of activity of the baby so if your doctor or midwife is not concerned about your babies hert rate then you shouldn%26#039;t be as well

33 WKS PREG! IS IT NORM THAT THE BABYS HEART RATE is IN THE 130%26#039;S AFTER ALL THIS TIME! ITS NEVER BEEN THAT LO

the heart rate is fine, if you feel weird about it ask your doctor as we always should when we feel something is wrong.. BUT you need to be eating for your baby! if you are not hungry it doesnt matter anymore because you are nourishing another person in your body.. i am the same amount of weeks as you and i too dont get hungry very often because my stomach is so small by now, but i make myself eat small portions during the day.. right now i love getting kids meals from places.. perfect amount of food.. :) try it..

33 WKS PREG! IS IT NORM THAT THE BABYS HEART RATE is IN THE 130%26#039;S AFTER ALL THIS TIME! ITS NEVER BEEN THAT LO

It%26#039;s fine, within normal range. Because the baby is getting bigger, the heart is growing and getting larger and stronger, so it can pump more blood each time. It doesn%26#039;t need to be as fast as when the baby was very small and the heart was immature.

Why do i have low blood pressure, but high heart rate?

Also, my lower legs (skin) is painful to the touch??? and if i%26#039;m lying down, i can feel my heart shake my whole body when it beats, and i can%26#039;t seem to get enough sleep....help????

Why do i have low blood pressure, but high heart rate?

usually when the blood pressure is low, the heart tries to compensate for decreased blood output by beating faster. makes sense doesn%26#039;t it? cuz the heart%26#039;s main job is to pump blood.

however, it%26#039;s not normal for your heart to shake your body when it beats. i think you%26#039;re having what they call %26quot;palpitations%26quot;. palpitations + lack of sleep and painful skin right below the knees could point to %26quot;hyperthyroidism%26quot;. have you also been feeling agitated lately or lost weight even though you%26#039;re eating normal? please see your doctor real soon and check your thyroid. hope everything works out. it will...as soon as you see a doctor :)

Young man of 25, 6' 1", 162 lbs, resting heart rate-54bpm, gets wierd feelings in chest fr

Hello all, from time to time perhaps once a month I get a feeling in the chest-pressure in the area where my collar bone connects to the sternum. The heart seems to slow down for a beat/pause then beats 2 or 3 times in rapid sucession. No pain. Just a little cough and pressure. I ride my bike 8-12 miles daily. Dont smoke. Do drink 3-4 times a week. Watcha think ? Thanks-

Mike from Texas....

Young man of 25, 6%26#039; 1%26quot;, 162 lbs, resting heart rate-54bpm, gets wierd feelings in chest from time to time.

The AV (atrioventricular) node isn%26#039;t the primary pace maker. It is the SA (sinoatrial node)and your AV node is the backup. The AV node will not be pacemaker unless SA node is not functioning or there%26#039;s a heart block between the SA and AV. You may very well have a heart problem. Healthy 25 year olds do have heart attacks although it is rare. Also, this may be just an upper GI issue and have nothing to do with your heart. Regardless, GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR

Young man of 25, 6%26#039; 1%26quot;, 162 lbs, resting heart rate-54bpm, gets wierd feelings in chest from time to time.

Go to a doctor, this isn%26#039;t the place to ask this. There may be doctor%26#039;s on here, but without an examination no one can be sure what%26#039;s going on.

Young man of 25, 6%26#039; 1%26quot;, 162 lbs, resting heart rate-54bpm, gets wierd feelings in chest from time to time.

I think I can answer this. Your heart has a main beat-machine: the AV node, which is the primary pacemaker. When your rate is slower than a certain number, say about 50 - as in an athlete - other backup pacemakers kick in because they think there is a problem with your primary pacemaker. It%26#039;s your body working to protect you.

In the case of an athlete, your resting rate is so slow that your heart occasionally slows down to under 50, and this may cause a secondary pacemaker to kick in and shoot off a rapid hearbeat for a few beats. Perfectly normal - keep up the good health! If you are really worried, they%26#039;ll do an EKG and it will show no conduction defects. You will be a young man with NSR - normal sinus rhythm, maybe a bit bradycardic, but otherwise normal. Your findings are common for an athlete.

Young man of 25, 6%26#039; 1%26quot;, 162 lbs, resting heart rate-54bpm, gets wierd feelings in chest from time to time.

It could be due to occasional ventricular premature beats, but without an ECG or a 24-hour Holter monitoring, no one knows the diagnosis for certain. It is highly unlikely to be atrial fibrillation, as one answer suggested. However, I don%26#039;t think it is wise for you to ignore these symptoms. Please go and see a doctor to get this sorted out.

Explain the mechanisms wherebt acetylcholine and epineephine alter the heart rate?

and the respond of the heart to acetylcholine following application of atropine?

Explain the mechanisms wherebt acetylcholine and epineephine alter the heart rate?

Hi. I am unsure as to why you have no answers. I%26#039;ll see if I can help.

The heart rate and contractility is controlled by the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system (SNS and PSNS). The SNS releases norepinephrine at the presynaptic terminal, onto adrenoreceptors on the myocardia.

The PSNS releases acetylcholine onto cholinergic receptors on the myocardia.

So, when the SNS releases norepinephrine onto the myocardia, it binds to a serpentine (%26#039;7-pass%26#039;) receptor. This activates a G protein, which splits into alpha and beta-gamma sub units. The beta-gamma subunit then reacts with other proteins in the cell, and increases the intracellular cAMP (cyclic adensosine monophosphate) levels. cAMP concentration is directly linked with the tendancy for sodium channels to open. So, as cAMP levels increase, more sodium channels stay open.

The heart rate is controlled by the SA node in the heart. It slowly depolarises, to the threshold point. Once it reaches the threshold, it then fully depolarises and sends a wave of excitation down across the myocardia (heart) making it contract. The way it slowly depolarises is the inflow of sodium ions. So, if the SNS makes sodium ion channels open more, more sodium flows into the SA nodal cells, depolarising it quicker, so it reaches threshold level quicker, and so contractions are initiated quicker, and so heart rate has increased.

The other thing that increases intracellular cAMP levels do is to stimulate the myocardial sarcoplasmic reticulum to release more calcium ions during myocardial contraction. So, the plateau phase of the action potential is prolonged, and so the muscle continues to contract for longer, and so the contractions are harder - this therefore increases contractility.

So, the point about above is that the SNS increases cAMP levels, which increases heart rate and contractility.

The PSNS does the opposite. It prevents the production of cAMP, and so will stop all of the above happening. Sodium channels will have a tendancy to remain closed, and calcium will not be released in as much volume during contraction, and so heart rate and contractility are decreased.

Atropine is a PSNS antagonist (it works on M2 cholinergic receptors, if you care). It STOPS the PSNS doing what it does, it it stops the PSNS from stopping production of cAMP. This means cAMP IS produced, and so similar things will happen to the SNS working normally. So, cAMP is increased, and so heart rate and contractility is increased.

Hope that helps, email me any more questions - I like to help!

What is causeing all of these symptoms.. high blood pressure, rapid heart rate, chest pain and facia

we know that it is not corinary heart disease, we have had a heart cath, we have had a ct scan of the brain, and nothing . everything is negative. please help

What is causeing all of these symptoms.. high blood pressure, rapid heart rate, chest pain and facial numbness

Extreme stress, tension, and pressure which causes your heart to beat faster which requires more blood, the less you have gives you high blood pressure. Also, not enough blood to the facial veins. Also, chest pains could be caused by high blood pressure. Best to check with a doctor, the give free advise over the phone.

Please get to a doctor NOW. Be that a free clinic, the local general practioner. My slim gentle %26quot;healthy%26quot; brother died at the age of 31 in 1987 when buying parts for his sports car in Southern California. We found out later at the autopsy that he had hypertensive cardiovascular disease. He had mentioned symptoms similar to yours. If you%26#039;ve had all the investigations done and everything is negative, it probably means it is stress related. Try to take relaxation classes and see if that helps.

What's this about havnig to be at some certain heart rate to lose weight?

I just remember hearing it and it went something like this. If you%26#039;re 80% of the maximun....heart beats or something for your age, your body%26#039;s becomes like a calorie hoard, but if you hover around 80% then its all clear for the calories to stop taking that extended vacation on your body.

anyone else ever heard of that?

is that even true?

What%26#039;s this about havnig to be at some certain heart rate to lose weight?

The fact is that you want to aim for you target heart rate because it means your heart is working hard to get oxygen to your muscles. If you are below the target you aren%26#039;t exercising hard enough, and if you are above the target you could damage your heart from over exertion. It has nothing to do with a magic switch of when the calories are being burned, it is just a way to tell that you are working out hard but not hurting yourself in the process.

What%26#039;s this about havnig to be at some certain heart rate to lose weight?

WELL SUPPOSEDLY THE FAT BURNING ZONE IS BETWEEN 120-140 BPM..

What%26#039;s this about havnig to be at some certain heart rate to lose weight?

you basically just need a raised heart rate. I don%26#039;t know about 80% but you want to double it at least

Have you ever heard of these symptoms: vomiting, dizziness, increased heart rate, fast paced breathi

i been really nausous lately and last night i finally vomited. but right after that i started gettin really shaky, dizzy, my heart was beating really fast, and i was breathing really fast too...i think i even fainted...

i am a 19 y/o female ,very healthy person i excercise regularly and eat healthy

i dont have any clue what caused it can you help me just to understand it?!

Have you ever heard of these symptoms: vomiting, dizziness, increased heart rate, fast paced breathing?

Your symptoms could be one of several things... excessive stress can cause nausea and vomiting, and anxiety that goes along with stress can cause the dizziness, rapid heart rate, hyperventilation.

Diabetes can cause some of the symptoms you describe...

But, so can pregnancy., cancer, heart trouble, etc, etc, etc...

Bottom line.... SOMETHING (whether a real illness, pregnancy, or just plain stress) is causing you to feel bad. Your body is telling you that you need to see your doctor.

Have you ever heard of these symptoms: vomiting, dizziness, increased heart rate, fast paced breathing?

go and check out wat the hell happened at the hospital...hope yr ok

How many times a day can I listen to my baby's heart rate with the fetal doppler?

is it safe to use every day?

more than twice a day?

this is NOT an ultrasound, just a doppler (picks up heart tones).

i%26#039;m not doing it for medical reasons but i had a stillborn before this one and i need a lot of reassurance. i%26#039;m 14 weeks. if i could feel the baby move, THAT would be my reassurance but since it%26#039;s too early to feel it move yet, i like to hear the heart beat

thanks

How many times a day can I listen to my baby%26#039;s heart rate with the fetal doppler?

Despite popular belief dopplers use ultrasound, it%26#039;s not simply a fancy microphone. I%26#039;d be hesitant to use a doppler on a regular basis. The jury is still out in reguards to ultrasound safety, some say it%26#039;s safe but there are studies that suggest it%26#039;s not and I tend to err on the side of caution.

You can always use a fetoscope to listen to the baby but it would probably be a couple more weeks before you could hear with a fetoscope but it%26#039;s aboslutely safe with no possible side effects.

How many times a day can I listen to my baby%26#039;s heart rate with the fetal doppler?

Do it as much as you want. There is no danger in using a doppler. Good luck with the little one, and congrats.

How many times a day can I listen to my baby%26#039;s heart rate with the fetal doppler?

Im sorry to hear about your loss, but no sound waves dont harm the baby, neither do ultrasounds just in case you were wondering. (I knew a woman in the medical field who was having twins and she did like 2 ultrasounds a week because she was so excited and her babies were perfectly healthy!)

How many times a day can I listen to my baby%26#039;s heart rate with the fetal doppler?

It is safe to use however many times you would like. I know the ones you can buy from Wal-Mart have all kinds of instructions with them and may mention that it is safe. Either way it shouldn%26#039;t cause harm. Best Wishes and Good Luck.

OH SWEETIE SO SORRY ABOUT YOUR FIRST CHILD. MAY HE OR SHE BE RESTING WITH THE LORD!

THE DOPPLER THAT IS USED IS COMPLETELY SAFE. IT HAS NO RADIATION OR ANY HARMFUL EFFECTS ALL IT DOES IS CONDUCT THE SOUND WAVES TO YOU! I ENJOYED LISTENING TO MY BABIES HEART BEAT IT%26#039;S SO COMFORTING. IF THIS COMFORTS YOU THAN LISTEN ALL YOU WANT, NO HARM CAN COME TO YOUR BABY!

GOOD LUCK!

How many times a day can I listen to my baby%26#039;s heart rate with the fetal doppler?

All a fetal monitor is, is a type of amplifier basically like a big microphone connected to a speaker. It is entirely safe, and you can use it as many times a day as you want. I%26#039;m sorry to hear about your loss, but Congradulations on this pregnancy! Good luck in the rest of your pregnancy..

How many times a day can I listen to my baby%26#039;s heart rate with the fetal doppler?

i know how you feel, i bought one too cause i had a miscarriage and i am so scared of something happening to this baby!

It is best only to use it 2x a week for no more than 2 minutes at a time, thats what the directions read on mine but if i am concerned i will still check to make sure everything is ok just try not to use it too much, and dont worry if you cant find the heart beat straight away cause sometimes they move far into your back and it can be a little too far away to pick up the heart beat so if that happens just try it later on that day.

I love mine it%26#039;s awesum, althought now i can sometimes feel baby moving it still scares the hell out of me that something will go wrong.

Congrats on your baby and i hope all goes well this time for the both of you!

How many times a day can I listen to my baby%26#039;s heart rate with the fetal doppler?

there is no danger to you or your baby what so ever, however I think that 14 wks would be hard to get it in the right spot to hear the heartbeat but if you can find it go ahead. You can use them 24/7 for your whole pregnancy if you would like to it will not harm your baby at all. Also I have a doppler that I bought at walmart and love it it is really fun to listen to every ounce in a while. I am on my 2nd and had it for my first and it never ges old i love it. Good luck and congrats

How many times a day can I listen to my baby%26#039;s heart rate with the fetal doppler?

You could listen to it as much as you it is very safe.

Im 34 year old male im taking toprolxl 25mg im having speeding heart rate?

toprol is supposed to slow the heart rate and lower the blood pressure. you need to return to your doctor. the increased heart rate is probably anxiety related...kind of like a panic attack. Divorce is rough. I had panic attacks, and part of it was racing heart when i went through my divorce. They stopped when i got my life back in order. Xanax is sedating more than anything. I took Buspar then Paxil with better results.

Im 34 year old male im taking toprolxl 25mg im having speeding heart rate?

I take toprol too for fluttering heart beats. It appears to work. I take a LOT more than you do - 200mg!!

My heart beat increased when I was under a lot of stress for many many years.

I%26#039;m trying to control (via my mind) response to stress, but I%26#039;m afraid once broken it never returns to normal.

It%26#039;s amazing how emotions can induce real illnesses.

Im 34 year old male im taking toprolxl 25mg im having speeding heart rate?

I have got the answer for you. You said you believed that the docs are giving you this even they know the side effects which all of these type of drugs do. If that is right then I really would like to talk to you and show you why you are right and help you to start living a healthier life. I can show you how to get a line of products that not only improve your health and vitality but will not cost you an arm and a leg or should I say a liver and kidneys. Man if you are truly serious about changing your health send me an email and we can talk more about this at birddawg@myway.com

Im 34 year old male im taking toprolxl 25mg im having speeding heart rate?

Good answers here. I%26#039;d opt for going back to your doctor and even getting another opinion from another physician. There are other meds that can be used. Everyone is different. Not going to buy into the conspiracy theories even though I have outside interests as well. Look at all areas individually...physical, emotional, lifestyle...and see what you can change.

Hope this helps. Jeff the nurse in Nashville.

Is it dangerous for a pregnant woman to have an elevated heart rate for a particular length of time?

I feel like mine has been elevated the last 24 hours, probably due to stress. I%26#039;m getting ready to check it, but wanted to know what the %26quot;dangerous%26quot; rate is?

Is it dangerous for a pregnant woman to have an elevated heart rate for a particular length of time?

You to not want it over 145 while pregnant. Rmember if you feel your heart beating heavy it can be that your blood pressure is low, which is somewhat normal during pregnancy. It is harder for your body to pump the additional 50% of blood you have while pregnant.

Is it dangerous for a pregnant woman to have an elevated heart rate for a particular length of time?

I dont know the actual rate right now but I know its dangerous if its high for a long period of time. So I would call your doctor immediately.

Is it dangerous for a pregnant woman to have an elevated heart rate for a particular length of time?

its not good for a long peorid of time, its not good for you or the baby, i would call your doctor

Is it dangerous for a pregnant woman to have an elevated heart rate for a particular length of time?

i would love to know as well, since my panic attacks are back...

Is it dangerous for a pregnant woman to have an elevated heart rate for a particular length of time?

I wish I had an answer for you. I am concerned about that as well, I am nine weeks pregnant. .and always have low-blood pressure, but my doctor assured me its not TOO low. Well, whenever I work out before i even work up a sweat i put my hand on the heart monitor things and it says I am at 135-140 ( before when i would run I%26#039;d be up to 160 and sometimes the machines would shut off because it was so high) If you get an answer on how dangerous this is let me know because I%26#039;d like to work out throughout my pregnancy. .but I am scared to because I ALWAYS have a fast heart-rate. And I am in good shape!

Is it dangerous for a pregnant woman to have an elevated heart rate for a particular length of time?

Pregnant women naturally have a higher heart rate than non-pregnant women. With all of the extra blood and having to supply blood to the uterus and developing baby, a woman%26#039;s heart must work harder. If you are exercising, you should keep your heartrate below 160 bpm.

Is there an effective way to train to reduce your Maximum Heart Rate?

I exercise 5 times a week doing 50 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of strength training. Lately I%26#039;ve been using a heart monitor and have been surprised to find that I can easily push 180 bpm without feeling overly tired or out of breath (I can carry a conversation). I%26#039;m 36 years old so that means that my MHR should be 184 but that%26#039;s only if I%26#039;m traning anaerobically (which I don%26#039;t want to) So for the past week I%26#039;ve reduce the speed (which has come to walking on the treadmill instead of jogging) in order to land in the 150-160 range. My question is, if I%26#039;m trying to lose weight, should I continue on this range? (even if I get bored to death walking) Is there a good way to train to reduce your MHR?

Is there an effective way to train to reduce your Maximum Heart Rate?

Max heart rate calculations using age (the 220 minus age or whatever) are for normal, sedentary people and can be off 10 or 15 beats or more per minute.

For athletes to discover max hr, you need to push and find your max heartrate.

Go to a track, do a couple mile warmup. Then, get ready to do 1/2 mile repeats. Wearing your HR monitor strap, sprint your first 1/2 mile. Record your max HR. run a 1/4, then do a second 1/2mile sprint. Record your max HR. run a 1/4, then do a third 1/2mile sprint and record the max HR.

The sprints should be absolutely all out...totally all out.

The second or third sprint should get you at your max HR.

Use THAT as your max. If you are conversational at 180, then by definition you are not at max HR.

If you are converstional at 180, I am guessing your max to be 195.

Is it unusual? Yes. Unheard of?? Absolutely not. Many triathletes i work out with are well away from the %26quot;norms%26quot;.

Yes, for best weight loss, you%26#039;ll want to be in your high zone 2 or low zone 3 for almost an hour...but you are going to need to adjust your zones before starting up that program.

Here is the coaching stuff I follow...and it has been very successful for me:

http://www.ultrafit.com/

***oh, and to answer your first question: reducing max HR?

Yes, eat lots of fat and become sedentary.

You do NOT want to reduce your max HR! You DO want to find YOUR max HR and then start using that new info to craft a good aerobic workout for yourself.

Is there an effective way to train to reduce your Maximum Heart Rate?

Dude ... you want to INCREASE your MHR, not reduce it. The MHR is a guideline, not a hard and fast rule. It is NOT an absolute measure of aerobic / anaerobic. If you%26#039;re not huffing and puffing, its still aerobic. If you get to 180 bpm without feeling tired, that%26#039;s a GREAT THING. That%26#039;s the goal - you have a very healthy cardio system. Keep doing what you%26#039;re doing.

I%26#039;m 47, and routinely get my bpm up to 160-165 and feel fine. The longer we can do this, the younger we will stay. You obviously have been working out regularly for a long time. Discard the guidelines and listen to your own body.

Is there an effective way to train to reduce your Maximum Heart Rate?

first tell us

are you taking any fat burning drugs? bec if you do then plz remember these drugs are %26quot;hot%26quot; in nature and give maximum heart rate even at normal times!

I'm 15 and weigh 150 pounds, and i get my heart rate at 200 a lot, is that normal!!??

I%26#039;m afaird that maybe it%26#039;s a heart condition or something, tell me what you think

I%26#039;m 15 and weigh 150 pounds, and i get my heart rate at 200 a lot, is that normal!!??

age and weight are ok, you do need to see a doctor about the heart rate it is too high. It may not be a %26quot;heart condition%26quot; per se, do you get anxiety attacks, and chronically check your pulse? Either way, you need to be seen by a doctor. Normal pulse rate is around 80 bpm.

I%26#039;m 15 and weigh 150 pounds, and i get my heart rate at 200 a lot, is that normal!!??

youre gonna die!

I%26#039;m 15 and weigh 150 pounds, and i get my heart rate at 200 a lot, is that normal!!??

i know what ur doing. when you count ur heartbeat with your hand it goes out then in(the heart) like tick tock. tick as out then tock as in. tick tock is one heart beat. Dont count it when it goes out and in. And if your heartrate was that high. Im sure you wouldnt be hear with us.

I%26#039;m 15 and weigh 150 pounds, and i get my heart rate at 200 a lot, is that normal!!??

How tall are you to go along with that weight? And yes, you may well have a heart condition though you are a bit young for it.

Better safe than sorry, though: Talk to your parents and to a doctor about this.

Good luck!

I%26#039;m 15 and weigh 150 pounds, and i get my heart rate at 200 a lot, is that normal!!??

You should tell your parents what you posted

but when you say you get your heart rate at 200 is that with exercise??? if so you are working too hard (220-15=205) 205 should be your max heart rate. and you should work out at 60-80 % of that

HOWEVER IF THIS IS AT REST OR WITH MINIMAL ACTIVITY--TELL YOUR PARENTS NOW, IT COULD BE THE SIGN OF SOMETHING SERIOUS.

I%26#039;m 15 and weigh 150 pounds, and i get my heart rate at 200 a lot, is that normal!!??

that is a little fast if it is not when exercising

is it when you are anxious?

get yourself checked out by a doctor but dont worry too much

I%26#039;m 15 and weigh 150 pounds, and i get my heart rate at 200 a lot, is that normal!!??

I%26#039;m 15 too and weigh 137 or more by now and I have the same problem

What do you think my doctor will do if my babys heart rate was going up and down?

i went today for my weekly NST and my babys fetal heart tone was going up and down what do you think she will do ??? im 35 wks pregnant ...also i was having contractions well i think they were braxton hicks im not sure...but my stomache got hard on top and on the bottom it was hurting. Has this happened to you ? if so what happened to you or what your doctor do?

What do you think my doctor will do if my babys heart rate was going up and down?

It depends on what the baby%26#039;s heart rate was. Normal fetal heart rates are about 120-170, and they do go up and down. Normally, a baby%26#039;s heart rate goes up by 15 beats or so and stays there for about 20 seonds a couple of times in twenty minutes, which is what a NST tests. Since you%26#039;re 35 weeks, that%26#039;s technically at term, so if you go into labour, congratulations. As to Braxton-Hicks, yep, that sounds like a BH contraction, nothing to worry about, because you%26#039;re far enough along. Happy birthday-to-be!

What do you think my doctor will do if my babys heart rate was going up and down?

im 36 weeks and have been going for a NST every week. the lowest a babies heart rate should get is around 110 (pretty much when they are sleeping.) the highest when very active should be about 180-190 at the most ( think, i know its around there but dont worry unless it goes up A LOT more then this)

generally when the baby is awake and just squirming and everything then the heart rate can jump up and down from about 120-170.

do you remember what the lowest and highest his/her heart rate got?

Which of the following would you expect to have the highest heart rate?

a. a person suffering from heart failure

b. a trained athlete

c. an unconditioned individual

d. an 80-year-old woman

e. a teenager with a sedentary lifestyle

Which of the following would you expect to have the highest heart rate?

Well your being very general here, there are many other factors in the individual.

but i would expect a person with heart failure to have the fastest heart rate due to the extra effort done by the heart to pump blood into the venticles and out to the aorta and pulmonary viens.

Which of the following would you expect to have the highest heart rate?

a. someone having heart failure

Which of the following would you expect to have the highest heart rate?

please clarify...is this resting heart rate?

but i wouldn%26#039;t say the it%26#039;s the athlete.

Which of the following would you expect to have the highest heart rate?

c.

Which of the following would you expect to have the highest heart rate?

the person with heart failure- the heart has to work even harder

Which of the following would you expect to have the highest heart rate?

What%26#039;s the difference between C and E?

If the heart failure is acute and uncompensated, that will be it, but many people with heart failure are well-compensated and taking beta-blockers, and they may have lower-than-the-average-bear heart rates.

Which of the following would you expect to have the highest heart rate?

I%26#039;m going to say A, with the assumption that the heart failure is untreated. The heart cannot pump as much blood, so the heart rate will increase in an attempt to maintain cardiac output.

Does having high LDL levels make it more difficult to lower heart rate during exercise?

If someone has high cholestrol, does the high LDL levels make it difficult for blood to flow freely and thus make the heart work harder and beat faster than if the LDL levels were lower?

Does having high LDL levels make it more difficult to lower heart rate during exercise?

No, why would you think that. My LDL level is high and I am physically fit. Cholesterol in your blood whether its high or low doesn%26#039;t make your blood thicker.

My sister gets bouts of indigestion, low blood pressure and low heart rate. she passes out.?

the doctors did an ekg and a ct but found nothing out of the ordinary. they also ruled out heart attack. could this be a potassium defeciency?

My sister gets bouts of indigestion, low blood pressure and low heart rate. she passes out.?

Sounds like diabetis, Get her to get a full blood work up done, and don%26#039;t forget to rule out pregnancy. it%26#039;s possible. Also get them to check her spinal fluid if they find nothing, and make sure in the full blood work up they check for everything from levles of all her vitamiles and minerals, to parasites, and cancers.

Hope this helps, take care.

My sister gets bouts of indigestion, low blood pressure and low heart rate. she passes out.?

sounds like her thyroid...

what is her body temp. at wake up time?? if low it could be thyroid.

get a full hormone, chemical, mineral , blood sugar ,blood work up.

also get her checked for food allergies since her stomach is bothering her..plus the can effect the heart rate..

plus get her checked for bacteria in the colon and blood.check to she if she has correct balance of good bacteria in her digestive tract..

My sister gets bouts of indigestion, low blood pressure and low heart rate. she passes out.?

could be vasovagal syndrome, sick sinus syndrome, a potassium defeciency would probably result in interference with her normal heart beat and muscle function, and would have been picked up.

Check for eating disorders or drug abuse, could be contributory factors...

Good luck - I%26#039;m sure it%26#039;s a scary time for all of you.

My sister gets bouts of indigestion, low blood pressure and low heart rate. she passes out.?

Could be any number of problems, including gall bladder problems, gerds, anemia, etc.., the best course of action is to go see her doctor and let them run the right tests to diagnose properly.

My sister gets bouts of indigestion, low blood pressure and low heart rate. she passes out.?

I THINK YOUR SISTER SHOULD EAT SMALL AMOUNTS EVERY 3TO 4 HRS.AND START THE DAY WITH A GOOD BREAKFAST.. LIVE THE GOOD LIFE.BEST WISHESFOR 2007

My sister gets bouts of indigestion, low blood pressure and low heart rate. she passes out.?

Lots of differential diagnosis for this one:

1. Neurological - complex partial seizure, orthostasis (usually with drop in BP with increase in pulse rate), dysautonomia

2. Cardiac - sick sinus syndrome, irregular heartbeat etc.

You should see a good internist who can make an appropriate referral to a specialist.

My daughter had an ultrasound today she is 6 1/2 weeks and the heart rate is only at 60 ,?

has anyone else ever have a slow rate like this and it improved. Is there any hope?

My daughter had an ultrasound today she is 6 1/2 weeks and the heart rate is only at 60 ,?

Theres always hope!

My daughter had an ultrasound today she is 6 1/2 weeks and the heart rate is only at 60 ,?

Im not sure I was ever told what the heart rate was so early in the pregnancy.. Did they tell her this is a concern?? Maybe they are slow when they are just starting to beat..

My daughter had an ultrasound today she is 6 1/2 weeks and the heart rate is only at 60 ,?

a heartbeat at 6 1/2 weeks is awesome! they couldnt even detect one with me until 8 weeks. did the doctor seem concerned? im sure the baby is fine but i would just call and ask the doc to ease your mind.

My daughter had an ultrasound today she is 6 1/2 weeks and the heart rate is only at 60 ,?

When I was 6 1/2 weeks along the babys heart beat was more than double that. I%26#039;m sorry to hear about this. I hope it was an error or something, but your daughter will need to speak with her doc. ASAP about this, it could be the baby has a heart defect....GOOD LUCK!!!!

My daughter had an ultrasound today she is 6 1/2 weeks and the heart rate is only at 60 ,?

There is always hope, miracles do happen everyday. I am not sure what this means. They should have explained that to her. Call any OB office and make an appt. Even if her doc refuses to help, there is someone out there who will. Don%26#039;t stress, it could make things worse.

Has anyone ever been able to hear their heartbeat just because there heart rate went up.?

i just heard mine,...then again its realy quiet. lol

but i got up to do a kick and i could hear my heart pumping preety laud. first time ever..lol

Has anyone ever been able to hear their heartbeat just because there heart rate went up.?

Yep, all the time, not only hear it but feel it in my neck and ears

Has anyone ever been able to hear their heartbeat just because there heart rate went up.?

Yeah but mostly i FEEL it pounding.

Why is it you can you burn more calories by having an increased heart rate while working out?

What is a good rate to have for optimal workout?

Why is it you can you burn more calories by having an increased heart rate while working out?

You are doing more work and you want to get your heart rate over 120 beats per minute for at least 40 minutes.

A calorie is a measure of heat. When you move a muscle you are creating heat. Your body is running a chemical reaction that creates heat and gives it the chemical energy to make the muscle contract. If you do a lot of muscle contractions then you are burning a lot of chemical energy and we chose to measure that by the heat produced from the chemical reaction. Thus when you run hard for over 40 minutes you increase your metabolism over the standard rate so the body has to draw on its reserves; including fat, to provide that extra energy that you need to keep going.

If you keep doing this a lot then the muscles you are exercising are getting used to a higher strain so they increase in size and strength. This is how a weight lifter trains and builds a muscle bound body.

Why is it you can you burn more calories by having an increased heart rate while working out?

depends on your goal.

For optimal fat burn, you want to be at 70%-80% of your maximum heart rate.

http://www.twrc.rowing.org.uk/coach/hear...

Why is it you can you burn more calories by having an increased heart rate while working out?

Because it not only increases your heartrate but it doublies your metabolism. Sustaining a workout heartrate for 20 min will double your metabolism for the next 8 hrs. I learned that from a professional trainer. There are charts which tell you good workout heart rates for different ages and levels of conditioning and levels of activity..

If I had cancer (with no other B symptoms - just swollen lymphnodes) would or could it affect my hea

my heart has been beating very hard (28yo female) for over a week for no reason, it never stops beating hard and sometimes feels like a bad pressure in my chest. I am having a mamogram for a lump in my breast and some swollen lymph nodes that I should have had checked months ago....where could it have spread that would bother my heart?

If I had cancer (with no other B symptoms - just swollen lymphnodes) would or could it affect my heart rate?

depends, which lymphnodes are swollen, armpit lymphs or lymphs superior to the breast. you don%26#039;t have any of the other symptoms of cancer, so I wouldn%26#039;t be too worried. as for your increase heart rate, wollen lymphs will not affect your heart rate, its problably stress, try mediatation.

and for the pressure in your chest, try some tums.

If I had cancer (with no other B symptoms - just swollen lymphnodes) would or could it affect my heart rate?

chill out you may not have cancer and what you hve described is anxiety.that will make your heart beat faster just worrying about if you have it so just try to do something to take your mind off your problem.

If I had cancer (with no other B symptoms - just swollen lymphnodes) would or could it affect my heart rate?

I agree with the others, it sounds like anxiety. I know it isn%26#039;t easy, but try not to worry too much until you%26#039;ve been examined. Don%26#039;t waste too much energy on worrying, focus on making sure you are well.

I have been on 50 mg. of zoloft for about 2 weeks, also xanax 0.5 mg. 4 times a day..yesterday my hea

going up..its usually in the 60s and 70s and now it like 120 or down in the 90s. i have heard about serotin syndrome and wonder if i could have it...or else im just scared i have it and my anxiety is making my heart race....usally the xanax makes it go down///does anyone know about serotin syndrome and if its common to get it after 2 weeks on zoloft?

I have been on 50 mg. of zoloft for about 2 weeks, also xanax 0.5 mg. 4 times a day..yesterday my heart rate?

This could be serotonin syndrome but is more likely anxiety about taking so many pills a day. Call your doctor and explain the situation and see what he recommends. Do not stop taking the medications until the doctor says to. This could just be a temporary side effect and be nothing to worry about.

I have been on 50 mg. of zoloft for about 2 weeks, also xanax 0.5 mg. 4 times a day..yesterday my heart rate?

I would call your dr. who is prescribing the meds asap. If you can%26#039;t get a hold of him until tomorrow call the pharmacy that prescribed the meds and talk to the pharmacist. I don%26#039;t believe 50mg of Zoloft would create Serotonin Syndrome, you are probably getting anxious from starting the meds. If you have any type of chest pain call 911.

Heart Rate = N (64,7.3) What % of the population would have a resting heart rate less than 50 beats

Thats very rare and you%26#039;d have to be a male athelete

like Bjorn Borg has a HR of 40

males have a lower hr than females

so i guess 5 %
