Is it dangerous for a pregnant woman to have an elevated heart rate for a particular length of time?

I feel like mine has been elevated the last 24 hours, probably due to stress. I%26#039;m getting ready to check it, but wanted to know what the %26quot;dangerous%26quot; rate is?

You to not want it over 145 while pregnant. Rmember if you feel your heart beating heavy it can be that your blood pressure is low, which is somewhat normal during pregnancy. It is harder for your body to pump the additional 50% of blood you have while pregnant.

I dont know the actual rate right now but I know its dangerous if its high for a long period of time. So I would call your doctor immediately.

I wish I had an answer for you. I am concerned about that as well, I am nine weeks pregnant. .and always have low-blood pressure, but my doctor assured me its not TOO low. Well, whenever I work out before i even work up a sweat i put my hand on the heart monitor things and it says I am at 135-140 ( before when i would run I%26#039;d be up to 160 and sometimes the machines would shut off because it was so high) If you get an answer on how dangerous this is let me know because I%26#039;d like to work out throughout my pregnancy. .but I am scared to because I ALWAYS have a fast heart-rate. And I am in good shape!

Pregnant women naturally have a higher heart rate than non-pregnant women. With all of the extra blood and having to supply blood to the uterus and developing baby, a woman%26#039;s heart must work harder. If you are exercising, you should keep your heartrate below 160 bpm.
