High Heart Rate: Over 100 bpm at rest; stress test showed nothing abnormal. Feel heart racing, tired

Am 33 year-old female

High Heart Rate: Over 100 bpm at rest; stress test showed nothing abnormal. Feel heart racing, tired- help?

that is not normal for sure. Are you drinking an excessive amount of coffee or other caffeine sources. Do you smoke too. smoking will increase your HR.

Is it 100 bpm or does it come and go.

I hope you are seeing a cardiologist. He will better be able to help you

It could be a number of things from caffeine induced to a SVT a condition which you need medical attention.

High Heart Rate: Over 100 bpm at rest; stress test showed nothing abnormal. Feel heart racing, tired- help?

Try watching your caffeine consumption.....

High Heart Rate: Over 100 bpm at rest; stress test showed nothing abnormal. Feel heart racing, tired- help?

occasional fast heart rate, or all the time the lowest it gets is 100?...yes, caffeine and nicotine can cause this at rest....let your doctor keep investigating...lab tests, thyroid tests?

High Heart Rate: Over 100 bpm at rest; stress test showed nothing abnormal. Feel heart racing, tired- help?

This Patient Guide is written for the loved ones of heart patients who are dealing with the short-term stress that comes with a test, procedure or recent diagnosis of heart disease. It explains why support is so important to a loved one with heart disease. It also offers practical strategies on how to support a loved one while also taking care of yourself.

When exercising heart rate increases. what system is your heart in and why does your heart rate incr

Your heart is at the center of your circulatory system. The heart will have an intrinsic rate of about 80 beats per minute, but that can be controlled by the brain.

You have a sympathetic nerve system that acts in such a way as to increase your heart rate and metabolism when there is a stress, such as exercise, on your body. Your heart beats faster and you breathe faster so that you can increase the amount of oxygen being delivered to the muscles. When the stress is over and your oxygen debt is repaid, you have a parasympathetic nervous system that does the reverse -- it slows the respiratory and pulse rates back down to normal.

When exercising heart rate increases. what system is your heart in and why does your heart rate increase?

circulatory. your heart has to pump blood harder and faster to the body.

Bought hubby a heart rate monitor - anyone have any idea what the average heart rate shouldbe?

while having sex? [he%26#039;s 45 i%26#039;m 47]

Bought hubby a heart rate monitor - anyone have any idea what the average heart rate shouldbe?

hi bet

i%26#039;m roughly the same age - so if you need to test it before you give it to hubby, drop it round.

there will be guidelines in the instructions within the box and there are plenty of web pagesthat can also give advice

http://www.netfit.co.uk/fitness/test/res...

Bought hubby a heart rate monitor - anyone have any idea what the average heart rate shouldbe?

Age Target HR Zone

50閳?5 % Average Maximum

Heart Rate

100 %

20 years 100閳?70 beats per minute 200 beats per minute

25 years 98閳?66 beats per minute 195 beats per minute

30 years 95閳?62 beats per minute 190 beats per minute

35 years 93閳?57 beats per minute 185 beats per minute

40 years 90閳?53 beats per minute 180 beats per minute

45 years 88閳?49 beats per minute 175 beats per minute

50 years 85閳?45 beats per minute 170 beats per minute

55 years 83閳?40 beats per minute 165 beats per minute

60 years 80閳?36 beats per minute 160 beats per minute

65 years 78閳?32 beats per minute 155 beats per minute

70 years 75閳?28 beats per minute 150 beats per minute

Your maximum heart rate is about 220 minus your age. The figures above are averages, so use them as general guidelines.

Note: A few high blood pressure medications lower the maximum heart rate and thus the target zone rate. If you%26#039;re taking such medicine, call your physician to find out if you need to use a lower target heart rate.

How should I pace myself?

When starting an exercise program, aim at the lowest part of your target zone (50 percent) during the first few weeks. Gradually build up to the higher part of your target zone (75 percent). After six months or more of regular exercise, you may be able to exercise comfortably at up to 85 percent of your maximum heart rate. However, you don%26#039;t have to exercise that hard to stay in shape.

this is based on exercise but sex is like exercise

Bought hubby a heart rate monitor - anyone have any idea what the average heart rate shouldbe?

normal heart rate is 60-100. you should find out your target heart rate. try going to webmd.com and typing in target heart rate.

Bought hubby a heart rate monitor - anyone have any idea what the average heart rate shouldbe?

Well the funny thing is my heart rate went up when i read your quistion it should be about 72 ish but i bet your a right little tiger when you get going so i would think his rate will go up to about 180 but let him rest after

Bought hubby a heart rate monitor - anyone have any idea what the average heart rate shouldbe?

Give him a good seeing to and take a reading. You are actually far to old for that anyway!

Bought hubby a heart rate monitor - anyone have any idea what the average heart rate shouldbe?

Hi Betty,

IF the monitor is accurate (enough). Normal range is anywhere from 50 to 100 beats per minute @rest. Max heart rate is 220, minus your age. 85% of this is your target HR for workouts. Count the pulse manually to check your monitor, including while exercising. They tend to move around %26amp; bounce a bit.

As for the sex thing, leave the monitor off for that. %26quot;Something%26#039;s Gotta Give%26quot; was a movie...;-) (exercise is exercise. The same numbers apply.)

Bought hubby a heart rate monitor - anyone have any idea what the average heart rate shouldbe?

lay a little game entitled

can we break the upper reading limit of the monitor

if he don%26#039;t make it, the house will be yours right?

Does your heart rate go up when you lie? ... and what's the average heart rate?

Normally it does....That%26#039;s the whole idea of lie detector machines. The graph moves when your heartbeat speeds up and most people%26#039;s will when they lie. Average is about 70 to 80 beats per minute but people may vary.

Does your heart rate go up when you lie? ... and what%26#039;s the average heart rate?

about 70 to 80 and yes anything can make it go up or down!plus i assume you are talking pulse not blood pressure, my pulse has been about 100 at rest my whole life and i%26#039;m still alive and kicking though I%26#039;m told this is bad! so consult webmd site for more detailed answer and good luck!

Does your heart rate go up when you lie? ... and what%26#039;s the average heart rate?

Average healthy adult heart rate is 60 to 100 beats per minute but athletes can have lower ones. So many things can affect heart rate including a scare, excitement, caffeine, cigarettes, sex, laying down, exercise, and medications. Did you ever get scared and feel like your chest was pounding? That%26#039;s normal!

If the heart rate directly affects Co what affects the heart rate?

The faster the pulse rate the more chemical exchange of oxygen and Co2. Thus, the faster your heart beats the more blood it%26#039;s pumping and therefor the more need for oxygen and Co2.

Physical activity or emotional stress are usually the two leading causes for an increase heart rate, and in your question, Oxygen and Carbon dioxide are increased to keep up with the demand of the heart. So really the respiratory system is adjacent to the cardiovascular system.

If the heart rate directly affects Co what affects the heart rate?

Do Co means cardiac output ?

If so, Co is determined by HR and total peripherla resistance.

HR is mainly under the control of vago-sympathetic balance and the balance is affected by many other factors such as psychological factors, drugs, hormones etc.

If the heart rate directly affects Co what affects the heart rate?

Having sex with Jessica Simpson will make increase your heart rate and cardiac output for sure.

How are heart rate and blood preesure related? Does heart rate effect blood pressure and vice versa?

I%26#039;m doing a science project and this will help my research.

How are heart rate and blood preesure related? Does heart rate effect blood pressure and vice versa?

When the blood pressure is lower, the heart has to work harder and pump blood faster (increasing the heart rate).

When the blood pressure rises the heart generally doesn%26#039;t have to work as hard (decreasing the heart rate).

The response of the heart rate and blood pressure help to maintain your body%26#039;s homeostasis (the body%26#039;s normal environment) Hope this helps with your project :)

How are heart rate and blood preesure related? Does heart rate effect blood pressure and vice versa?

The pace at which the heart beats, or heart rate, is counted in heartbeats per minute. Generally, when heart rate increases, blood pressure rises. When heart rate decreases, blood pressure drops

Question about heart rate and training?

Pretty new to exercise and using a HR monitor. According to the 220-age x 0.5 etc formula my min and max HRs should be 108-153 (65%-85%). However I find this almost impossible to achieve-my HR stays around 167 (resting is about 70) and I am working quite hard, getting very sweaty but can breathe well and speak ok. If I keep my rates this low will I still get fitter and lose weight? I work out for about 40-50 mins on lots of different equipment doing 10-15 mins on each. Any advice gratefully received!

Question about heart rate and training?

A lot of people dislike using a heart rate monitor, because following the instructions makes you work out LESS VIGOROUSLY than you%26#039;d like.

What you describe is a very effective workout; you should always aim to be able to talk comfortably while you exercise. Try to slow down a bit, and ignore the showoffs who are %26#039;going for it%26#039;. Your own fitness really isn%26#039;t a competition.

There is a widespread myth that exercise needs to be %26#039;punishing%26#039; or %26#039;hardcore%26#039; to be doing any good. It can actually be true, but it depends on your priorities. If your goal is to break world records or win medals, then you will need to sacrifice a lot of things, including your health and fitness, in order to fine-tune your body to achieve the ambition. (Working at high intensity produces fatigue, which makes you accident-prone, and suppresses your immune system, making you vulnerable to infections.)

If you want to lead a normal life, and gradually improve your physique and wellbeing without increasing your risk of injury or obsession, then you should stay within the %26#039;comfort zone%26#039; when you train.

A low-intensity strategy will leave you less fatigued, so that you can exercise more frequently (ideally, daily or more often), and will concentrate on movement (which uses fat-burning %26#039;red%26#039; muscle fibres) instead of vigour (which uses %26#039;white%26#039; fibres that burn sugar %26amp; make you hungry).

In the longer term, low intensity is an excellent weight-control and body maintenance strategy.

Question about heart rate and training?

Take a heart rate class. The are better ways to measure your max heart rate and that formula you listed is out of date and not very accurate. 167 is great, good job! Look up data on HeartZones.

Question about heart rate and training?

Keep doing what you are doing. You have only begun training so your heart rate will be higher than normal until your body gets used to it. As you train your heart will become stronger therefore requiring less beats to pump your blood around your body, this includes your resting heart rate.Chest pain is a good indication you should stop what your doing. If you are weight training be sure to change your routine every 4 to 5 weeks or you wont get the results you desire.

Question about heart rate and training?

The heart rate at which you exercise depends upon your goals and reason for exercise.

For weight loss it is generally better to exercise at a reduced rate for longer. If you can sweat it out for over an hour you will find that you have to work at a slower rate or else you%26#039;ll feel too exhausted.

For targetted fitness you will need to work out at different rates as each effort catagory will tend to improve different systems within the body.

e.g. I run and my 100% max is 190.

For general training (2 hours run) I try to stay below 150.

For a marathon race I run at 165.

For speed training (20 mins fast running) I run at 175

For a 6mile race I%26#039;ll be between 180 and 190.

I know if I exceed these figures I will exhaust myself.

It sounds to me that you are working hard, 167 sounds highish, you are sweating and it feels quite hard to you. It%26#039;s difficult to be specific but perhaps you are working a little hard if you are doing this more than 3 times a week.

Personally I%26#039;d slow it down a bit and spend longer on each exercise.

Why is my heart rate so high? my heart rate is 107-140 bpm. and im only 20 yrs old. i feel healthy.?

i go running and i feel normal. i mean just like anyone else would if they went running. i dont have any pains or anything.

Why is my heart rate so high? my heart rate is 107-140 bpm. and im only 20 yrs old. i feel healthy.?

See a doctor.

Why is my heart rate so high? my heart rate is 107-140 bpm. and im only 20 yrs old. i feel healthy.?

Is this your heart rate while running or resting. If this is your resting rate, there could be a number of reasons in a person your age. It could be medications you%26#039;re taking, your heart%26#039;s size, the possibility that you have a type of heart disease that is congenital (from birth), an unusual rhythm that can be detected by electrocardiogram. Who could know by what you write? If this is your rate with running, then that would be in the range considered normal.

It is a good idea to get a referral to a cardiologist (not a general practitioner or internal medicine physician) and have them perform an ECG, an Echocardiogram and/or a stress test and labs to check your electrolytes (they%26#039;ll do a bunch anyway). That%26#039;s the only way you can know what%26#039;s going on. Even though you%26#039;re 20, you can still have heart disease issues. I don%26#039;t know if you%26#039;re a woman or man but some good websites are:

Why is my heart rate so high? my heart rate is 107-140 bpm. and im only 20 yrs old. i feel healthy.?

Have you gotten your blood pressure checked and is it normal? You could have high blood pressure and a small amount of medication could help that. I got high blood pressure and a high heart rate from taking birth control pills when I was in high school and I%26#039;ve had it ever since.

Why is my heart rate so high? my heart rate is 107-140 bpm. and im only 20 yrs old. i feel healthy.?

I agree with some of the other respondents. If this heart rate is a resting rate for you then you should see a doctor. They will have you wear a 24-48 hr holter monitor that will record your hearts electrical activity to help diagnose your problem. Also, they will probably draw bloodwork to check your thyroid level as a low functioning thyroid will cause elevated heart rates. Additional tests may include an echocardiogram to evaluate the structure of your heart.

As mentioned before, other medications or caffeine intake may elevate your heart rate.

The first step is to see your doctor as this is a problem that needs to be determined then corrected as a normal heart rate at rest should be between 60-100.

Good luck.

My heart rate has been between 100-120 for the past 5 days. Should I go to the doctor soon?

I take lisinopril 20mg daily and I have stoped caffeine altogether cold turkey. What can I do to lower it?

My heart rate has been between 100-120 for the past 5 days. Should I go to the doctor soon?

Definitely

My heart rate has been between 100-120 for the past 5 days. Should I go to the doctor soon?

If its being caused by the drug then yeah you should be going to the doctor. For me, I get 100 pulse rate whenever I am really stressed. But doesn%26#039;t hurt to check with the doctor anyway either way.

My heart rate has been between 100-120 for the past 5 days. Should I go to the doctor soon?

well go to your doctor and let him or her exam your heart and run some tests to see if your heart is doing well.

My heart rate has been between 100-120 for the past 5 days. Should I go to the doctor soon?

Take deeper breaths and maybe if you take light exercise at first untill your regular heart rate slows downs. Then after some light exercise start taking runs, etc. To be safe you should have a quick check up with your doctor. better safe than sorry.

My heart rate has been between 100-120 for the past 5 days. Should I go to the doctor soon?

Yes, you need to talk to your doctor, since the medication should keep your rate lower than that. Do you have a thyroid condition? If you quit the caffeine, don%26#039;t take any diet meds, don%26#039;t take any antihistamine type pills or anything else that could explain the sudden increase in heart rate, please call your doctor.

My heart rate has been between 100-120 for the past 5 days. Should I go to the doctor soon?

thats often a sign of an enlarging heart

My heart rate is 68. is it normal or borderline to be considered as having bradycardia?

assuming you are somewhere between age 12-50, that is 100% normal. the normal resting heart rate is 60-100 beats per minute

My heart rate is 68. is it normal or borderline to be considered as having bradycardia?

it%26#039;s normal, bradycardia is usually when it%26#039;s below 60 a normal pulse is supposed to be between 60-90 beats per minute

My heart rate is 68. is it normal or borderline to be considered as having bradycardia?

By definition, bradycardia is a pulse rate less than 60. Tachycardia is a pulse above 100.

So, 68 is within the normal range. In fact, the closer to 60, the better, generally speaking. Your heart rate is absolutely where it should be.

My heart rate is 68. is it normal or borderline to be considered as having bradycardia?

My heart rate is 50-60, so I%26#039;m sure you rate is in normal range.

My heart rate is 68. is it normal or borderline to be considered as having bradycardia?

your fine

if it get below 50 get checked out

might eat more salt ,bananas, and potatoes

salt brings it up or caffeine

My heart rate is 182+ when working out?

is that too high? what should it be?

My heart rate is 182+ when working out?

that sound a bit high..... it depends on your age and fitness level

My heart rate is 182+ when working out?

Age. ??

My heart rate is 182+ when working out?

Sounds pretty normal to me. To calculate your max pulse, take 220-age, so if you are 20 years old, 220-200 = 200 is your max pulse. If you work out hard, it is normal to get pulse above 180 if you%26#039;re about that age. I don%26#039;t know your age, and the calculation should only be used as a tool, you might have a different max pulse even you%26#039;re 20, so if you%26#039;re worried, you could see a doctor just to be sure.

Why is target heart rate for weight loss less than target heart rate for cardio?

Am I burning any less fat or calories by exercising at the higher intensity, where, in fact, I tend to end up?

Why is target heart rate for weight loss less than target heart rate for cardio?

achieving your target heart rate is the ideal range for optimum calorie burning during exercise..

as far as cardio is concerned, i think that range is to ensure you don%26#039;t over-exert yourself. because having a heart rate that is too high during exercise will only put strain on your body %26amp; heart.

this is a heart rate calculator, use it to determine your target heart rate ---%26gt;

http://www.weightlossforgood.co.uk/targe...

Why is target heart rate for weight loss less than target heart rate for cardio?

It%26#039;s kind of hard to explain... but when you get into the %26quot;cardio%26quot; zone, your body begins to use it%26#039;s faster stores of energy - the glycogen, which is stored carbohydrates, in your liver. It is quickly available and quickly depleted.

When you work out at a lower heart rate, your body doesn%26#039;t need the energy quite as quickly, so it metabolizes fat for energy instead. Fat is much higher in supply, but takes longer to metabolize it.

The cardio zone is good for your heart, it increases your VO2 Max (the volume of oxygen in your blood) which allows the same amount of oxygen reach your muscles with fewer heart beats. So this slows your heart rate, and then you will be able to work out harder to achieve the same heart rate.

My heart rate was about 300 this morning at the gym 4 the 1st time, why is that?

I%26#039;m not sick or anything , and i didn%26#039;t feel any weird it all. I was in a cardio machine. Is that bad, i hope it%26#039;s not.

My heart rate was about 300 this morning at the gym 4 the 1st time, why is that?

300??????

Seriously doubtful. That is extreme tachycardia.

Yes that is bad, lol.

My heart rate was about 300 this morning at the gym 4 the 1st time, why is that?

300 is enough for your heart to blow up. i believe the machine may have been wrong.

My heart rate was about 300 this morning at the gym 4 the 1st time, why is that?

220 minus your age is considered a safe working heart rate.

300? unless the morgue has wifi, something is wrong in your calculations

My heart rate was about 300 this morning at the gym 4 the 1st time, why is that?

Did the machine tell you it was 300 or did you count it? If it was that high you would feel palpitations and not feel normal. And to those who said 300 would make your heart explode or whatever, I have to disagree. I have supraventricular tachycardia and it%26#039;s been recorded on an EKG at jumping from 80 to over 250 in a matter of seconds.

My heart rate was about 300 this morning at the gym 4 the 1st time, why is that?

the machine was broken. if you feel fine, there%26#039;s no way your heart rate was 300.

My heart rate was about 300 this morning at the gym 4 the 1st time, why is that?

I suffered from attacks of SupraVentricular Tachycardia. My %26quot;resting%26quot; heartrate would go from 70 up to 240 beats per minute from one beat to the next. Paramedics worked on me a few times and I had quite a few trips to the ER. I never came close to 300 though. If it rose gradually during exercise, and slowed gradually, it%26#039;s not the kind of electrical problem I have, but you are probably pushing it past a safe limit.

This is a question for a doctor. You should contact one as soon as possible.

My heart rate was about 300 this morning at the gym 4 the 1st time, why is that?

That is deadly. Maybe the machine is off. Did you check your heart rate yourself? If this number is true you should get a checkup with your doc. You may have hyperactive thyroid or a heart condition. Make sure you are not taking anything that could have caused this like diet pills or heavy duty energy drinks.

My heart rate was about 300 this morning at the gym 4 the 1st time, why is that?

hun i agree....if your heart was beating that hard i don%26#039;t think you%26#039;d be conscious...the machine was wrong im sure.

Which Heart Rate Monitor should I buy?

I work out in a gym..I use the treadmill and lift weights. Sometimes I do cardio at home as well, on my bike or elliptical. I do not know which HRM to purchase. I heard Polar is good, but I do not know which model to buy. Do I need one with a chest strap? Which do you prefer?

Which Heart Rate Monitor should I buy?

I can not speak from experience, however for christmas I bought one for my mother. It is not a chest strap (a lot of people don%26#039;t like those) and was a good price. Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/Heart-Rate-Dummies...

It was on sale too when I got it. Some of them can be over $100 though. This one was easy to use and accurate my mother said and she is a nurse (retired).

Normal heart rate...15?

Im fifteen.. and the past couplehours my chest has been hurting..... I took my blood pressure and it was 131/72....is that bad???

Normal heart rate...15?

Normal blood pressure is between 100 -140 over 60 - 90

your blood pressure fluctuates all the time, depending on

what you are doing and even on what part of the day it is.

Yours is fine absolutely fine !

Normal heart rate...15?

if you%26#039;re heart rate is reall 15 you need to go to the ER ASAP. that%26#039;s way to low to provide your body (and brain) with the blood it needs. the pressure is ok. GO

Normal heart rate...15?

on the tread mill it says im 86 heart rate

Normal heart rate...15?

That%26#039;s fine. You shouldn%26#039;t worry, 131/72 is ok.

Normal heart rate...15?

Normal pulse rate is 60-100bpm...Maybe you should take your pulse again....take it on your wrist (radial) for 1 minute...that will give you your heart rate. You blood pressure is excellent so it is highly unlikely your pulse is that low. If your pulse was that low your B/p should be low as well.

Normal heart rate...15?

Hi;

First of all this pressure is pretty normal for anyages. And about your chest pain there could be a lot of things but mostly spontaniously chest pains is not related to any helth problems. It could be caused by diaphragmal spasm or some inter costal muscle spasm. But do not get relieved yet. I refer you to get an EKG as soon as possible to see if there is a problem about your heart. It has a little percentage that you may have a heart desease. But tie your horse tight than pray about its safety. So as a doctor my opinion is clear. Don%26#039;t get allerted but get an EKG. And 15 heart rate is not possible with this pressure of blood so I assume you miscounted it. As I say get to a doctor.

Hope get well soon.

BYE

Normal heart rate...15?

If you%26#039;re having chest pains call your doctor immediately and if the pain persists call 911 or go to the Emergency Room

My heart rate is around 100 but BP stays near 120 over 76?

So...what%26#039;s the problem? That%26#039;s actually pretty good!

My heart rate is around 100 but BP stays near 120 over 76?

blood pressure is fine (but it can vary through out the day, week, basically time)

heart rate of 100 if at rest , is too much

blood pressure is measured by the force pushed out by circulating blood on the walls of the blood vessels (arteries)

heart rate is the calculations of the contraction of the heart (in usually 1 minute) thats why you could have fine blood pressure but a high heart rate, they are measured in 2 different systems

Fetal heart rate was 167 at the ultra sound. does that mean its a girl ?

Girls%26#039; fetal heart rates tend to be faster than boys%26#039;, so, yeah, I think you%26#039;re carrying a girl. Good luck!

Fetal heart rate was 167 at the ultra sound. does that mean its a girl ?

they say girls beat faster but there is no way to know for sure i was told i was having a boy because of a slow heartbeat and she was born a girl

Fetal heart rate was 167 at the ultra sound. does that mean its a girl ?

Don%26#039;t be too sure. My son has had a higher heart rate all along. I guess they used to actually use this method to tell the sex of the baby before ultrasounds became advanced enough to tell. A woman I know told me they told her she was definately having a boy. Up until the end they told her she was because of the heart rate. She had a girl. =)

Fetal heart rate was 167 at the ultra sound. does that mean its a girl ?

This is all a myth and not based on facts at all. Its like saying if you crave meat and salty food its a boy and if its a sweets its a girl Fake. In my first pregnancy I loved fruit smoothies. This time around I love cakes, buns, bread and smoothies and meat. Last time I was pregnant with my son, and this time with another son. so no. Its not true.and as for heart rate my baby%26#039;s heart rates were both high. so no it can mean either or.

Fetal heart rate was 167 at the ultra sound. does that mean its a girl ?

i%26#039;m 8.5 weeks and just had my first u/s. my fetal heart rate was 167 too. everyone says that you can not tell by the heart rate what you are having.... so i wouldn%26#039;t put too much belief in that.

What heart rate should a healthy heart beat at for a 35 year old who doesnt smoke?

60-80 beats per minute. but someone who does a lot of physical exercise can have one as low as 45bpm

What heart rate should a healthy heart beat at for a 35 year old who doesnt smoke?

50-80 bpm.

What heart rate should a healthy heart beat at for a 35 year old who doesnt smoke?

resting heart rate (rhr) should be between 60 - 80 beats per minute.

What heart rate should a healthy heart beat at for a 35 year old who doesnt smoke?

My resting heart rate is 40 bpm, and I get very sleepy, it has been like that for years and I do not consider it dangerous.

What heart rate should a healthy heart beat at for a 35 year old who doesnt smoke?

60 - 80 (average 70). You heart rate tends to be slower when you are more fit. Athletes sometimes have heart rates as low as 40 bpm.

What heart rate should a healthy heart beat at for a 35 year old who doesnt smoke?

72 beats a minute is the normal rate. BP should be 120/80.

What heart rate should a healthy heart beat at for a 35 year old who doesnt smoke?

wel this is a vry vague questn.normal range is 60-80.average of 72.but for an athelete it cud be as low as 40b/m.durin exercise it can go upto 150b/m and can reach a max of 240-250b/m b4 bursting.

Highest heart rate for a 21year old, male, weighing 78, without putting strain on the heart muscles?

220 - 21 = 199 maximum. Safety margin = 80% = 160 beats per minute for cardio training.

Highest heart rate for a 21year old, male, weighing 78, without putting strain on the heart muscles?

200

Highest heart rate for a 21year old, male, weighing 78, without putting strain on the heart muscles?

A normal pulse rate for a healthy adult, while resting, can range from 60 to 100 beats per minute (BPM).

Highest heart rate for a 21year old, male, weighing 78, without putting strain on the heart muscles?

I%26#039;m assuming that your weight of 78 is in stones, right? I can tell you a formula in pounds. In pounds, you take your age, subtract it from 180, and then three-quarters of that number would be your %26quot;target heart rate%26quot; for healthy exercising.

Target Heart Rate assignment?

Students will write a 1-2 page (typed and double spaced) summary about a twenty-minute cardiovascular workout.

What%26#039;s a cardiovascular workout that I could do in my house? It%26#039;s really icy outside and i%26#039;ll be damned if I%26#039;m running.

Also, every time I take my pulse it%26#039;s wrong and says 31, then my dad does it and it%26#039;s higher, but I can%26#039;t get it to go higher---what am I doing wrong? It%26#039;s a big part of the assignment.

Target Heart Rate assignment?

Your results won%26#039;t be correct if your method of taking your pulse is wrong.

First, find a reliable pulse point. The most commonly used one is on your wrist, about 3/4 of an inch below the pad of your thumb. Place the index and middle fingers of your left hand on the pulse point on your right wrist (or vice versa). Slide the tips of your fingers up and down the wrist slightly until you feel the steady, firm pulse.

Most people%26#039;s resting pulse is 70 or 80 bpm (beats per minute). Nurses in the hospital are always in a hurry, so they count the beats for 15 seconds by a stop watch or sweep hand on an analog clock. Then they multiply the result by four. (For example, if my heart beats 20 times in 15 seconds, my heart rate will be 80).

Once you%26#039;re comfortable taking your own pulse, you can follow all the other great suggestions for cardiovascular exercise that will increase your heartrate to 120 bpm, or whatever your target is.

Target Heart Rate assignment?

Are you serious with this?? Jog in place. Have your dad show you how to properly take your pulse.

Can yogis/any1 slow their heart rate to super low levels?

I have heard many claim of ppl lowering rates to 10-15bpm (at will), but yet to see evidence of it - does anyone know if its possible or made up (like those %26#039;levitiating claims%26#039;)

Can yogis/any1 slow their heart rate to super low levels?

I don%26#039;t know about yogis, but I can lower my heart rate thanks to a level of control that I have gained through wiccan meditation.

the trick is to become aware of your heart beat, to start you should find a space that is so quiet that you can hear your heart beat, then focus on that. If you do not have the control of your mind to clear all the thoughts from your consciousness, I don%26#039;t think that you will be able to effect your heart rate the first time you try, but keep trying and you will get it,

it should be reasonably safe, because if you lower your heart rate enough you will pass out, and your heart rate will resume ( I have had one time when I woke up with the feeling of being kicked in the chest, it was the first thud of my heart starting a normal rhythm)

Heart Rate Monitor Watches??

I am planning to buy a HRM and plan to use it for mainly jogging. I decided to get the Nike Traix c5 but it has an chest attachement, which i just found out through ebay as i was looking for the best deal.... Can anyone suggest some good HRM%26#039;s which also show calories burned, and which do not have those chest attachments???

Heart Rate Monitor Watches??

Every heart rate monitor that actually works uses s chest strap. That%26#039;s just the way they work. Anyone that doesn%26#039;t is just giving you an estimate. I have a Polar CS3000, it%26#039;s fantastic. You%26#039;ll get used to strap, it freaked me out at first to.

Heart Rate Monitor Watches??

I recently got a inline speed wheel speedometer and heart/calorie burner tracker watch from Microsport.

I too did much research on them all as well. For what I needed Microsport fit my needs. Not sure about jogging as I am an inline speed skater.

Check out their web site, might have something for you.

http://www.microsport.de/ms-eu/index.htm...

I think they are in Germany or something in the UK but I had no problems with purchase or shipment.

Heart Rate Monitor Watches??

I use a Polar HRM, exactly the M-52, its an old model but measure Heart ratio, calories, time, zones. The chest band is durable too.

If you change your mind and go to the gym and use your HRM try to buy a coded chest belt, cause someone hrm can interfere with your own.

Heart rate increases randomly and hands shake, i have a cold, should i worry?

Any increase or decrease in heart rates requires investigation(unless you are athelte or sportsman). Please consult a GP.

Heart Rate Monitor strapless for exercise?

I%26#039;m trying to figure out which monitor to get for exercising. I%26#039;d also like to be able to wear it throughout the day. I%26#039;m ok with the strap, but i%26#039;m not comfortable having to put two fingers on the watch every time i do a reading. Any suggestions as to what you may have liked and why?

Heart Rate Monitor strapless for exercise?

well i don%26#039;t really use a heart monitor but it sounds like a great idea.

Heart rate questions!?!?

went into the hospital because my HR was 32 bpm when I woke up(had a holter on) and there it was 54-120. It kept going up and they mentioned sick sinus syndrome, but the 24 holter said no. Is it okay for your HR to go up alot past 100 and come right down to like 75-99? It goes up when I move alot.. but comes back down and goes back up..never stays that way.

I had telemetry monitors for seven days, an echo, a holter and 3 EKGs that were all normal. Can it still be something, or would those have picked it up.

I did ask the doctor. he said if i had sick sinus syndrome, I would have to get a second opinion and get a pacemaker. He said to wait for the holter results(which took 4 days and kept me in the hospital longer) and left the hospital to go to his office.. they got the report and called him and he discharged me from there saying i had to see him this thursday I will know thursday but I am still worried

Heart rate questions!?!?

You have a right to be concerned. A heart rate of 32 bpm is NOT normal for anyone. Most heart rates anywhere from 50 to 110 could be considered normal, but it is individualized. A athlete can have a resting heart rate of 50 and it be normal. I could not. I am not athletic and not in shape, therefore I would be concerned if my rate dropped to 50. If you have sick sinus syndrome or symptomatic decreased heart rates you will need a pacemaker as your doctor said.

The doctor you need to see is a cardiologist. If the doctor you saw was not a cardiologist, you are spinning your wheels. Go to the specialist who deals only with the heart.

I would set up an appointment ASAP. Like I said a heart rate of 32 is absolutely abnormal and you have every right to be concerned.

Edit: Don%26#039;t be concerned about heart rates in the 80%26#039;s, that is normal. I would not even be concerned at 54. However do be concerned about drops in heart rate. I would be concerned more about the drops than the increases. Remember your rate is directly rated to the amount of oxygen your body receives. The slower it beats the less oxygen your body receives.

Heart rate monitor, help please?

I want to buy the Polar F6 HR monitor (watch) but i am wondering if I have to use the chest strap at the same time i use the watch?/ can I use just the watch or the watch depend on the chest strap?

Heart rate monitor, help please?

If it%26#039;s like the polar that I own, yes, you can use the clock porton of it- alone.

It runs just fine as just a timer.

(I just checked it now)

I LOVE my polar- it know exactly when I AM pushing it too hard and it%26#039;s not my imagination- and exactly when I am Whiming out and need to push harder.

It%26#039;s great.

I have had the thing for 2 years now! same battery

Edit: I have the Polar FS1

Here is the specs for YOUR Model:

Heart Rate Moniters?

Does anyone have one these, are they worth getting.

Heart Rate Moniters?

If you are taking vigorous exercise and wish to aim for example at pulse rates of 85% of maximum while exercising, they can be useful Those with chest straps are the most accurate.

If you idly want to know what your pulse is, don%26#039;t bother take it with your finger at the wrist.

Heart Rate Moniters?

If you%26#039;re new to exercising they are worth it or if you have a medical condition that requires strict monitoring. I%26#039;ve exercised for over 20 years without one and can tell when I%26#039;m too high or low.

Heart Rate Moniters?

not really, if you need to keep track of your heart rate, just take your pulse for 15 seconds and multiply by 4, and see if the rhythm is regular or not. if you need to keep track of it for medical reasons, you might want to get one if your doctor thinks it is a good idea, but for the most part the aren%26#039;t necessary.

Heart Rate Moniters?

I don%26#039;t have one but I am a little familiar with them. I got some information from several edu (universitiy sites) to help you.

Are you using it for training for a race or medical condition?

Heart Rate Moniters?

heart monitors monitor more than jhust heart rate they monitor the rhythm wchich tells more than just whether or no tyou have an irregular heart beat. you can go every year or so though to a cardiologist and they can do an ekg to see if you have experinced anything that you should be worried about. I don%26#039;t think just any joe blow should have a heart monitor. only if you have a cardiac history and know how to read them would they be benificial to you, and they are really expensive

Heart Rate Moniters?

you have to contact a medical supply company! look it up on the internet!! under google!

Heart Rate Moniters?

Yes I have one and I use it when running. By using it, I discovered I was training way too hard - it has really helped my progress. It isn%26#039;t a fancy one so I feel it was well worth the investment. I can even use it when I swim too.

How is heart rate related to respiration rate?

It also has to do with your sympathetic nervous system. The SNS is your %26quot;fight-or-flight%26quot; response.

Your heart and lungs are interconnected through your pulmonary arteries and veins. The faster you breathe, the faster you need to get the carbon dioxide out. Therefore, your heart needs to beat faster to get the carbon dioxide out of your lungs. (I do believe)

How is heart rate related to respiration rate?

One is lead to believe it is a positive linear relationship, increase in heart rate would have a proportional increase in respiration.

Heart rate percentages?

whats the question lol

Heart rate percentages?

Percentage of what?

Heart rate percentages?

Anything above zero is good!.....

Heart rate percentages?

thats pretty good

Heart rate percentages?

heart needs to work all the time or u die, simple enough

Heart rate percentages?

This answer is speculation. If you asume that the normal heart rate, at rest, is 100%, then any deviations from it can be understood as higher or lower percentages, indicating activity or deep relaxation.

Heart rate percentages?

Average 72 beats/min. Worth a look http://www.revision-notes.co.uk/revision...

Heart rate percentages?

Liver decimals?

Heart rate percentages?

Your question doesn%26#039;t make much sense, Daz. Maybe you could add to your question as to what it is you actually want to know.

Heart rate percentages?

bradycardic less than 50bpm tachycardic more than 100 bpm norm at rest in the healthy adult around 65 bpm

Heart rate percentages?

Below sixty is considered bradycardic, or too slow. Above ninety is considered tachycardic, or too fast.

Heart rate percentages?

100 beats per minute is ok but needs to exercise.

90 beats per minute is fine.

80 beats per minute is normal

70 beats per minute is very good.

Below 50 is bad.

There is only one guy that has a heart rate of about 35 beats per minute that does not need a pace maker.

Heart Rate Monitor comparison?

Would you runners recommend a Polar RS200sd or a Garmin Forerunner 305. Also, any known deals for either of those going on right now?

Heart Rate Monitor comparison?

I have tried both the Polar RS200SD and the Garmin 305. Since I got the 305, the SD only gets used as a wristwatch because of its easy to use alarm. The information you get with the 305 when used in Motion Based mode blows away the SD. You can%26#039;t really download information off the SD while the 305 has a reliable USB connector. Get the 305 while the rebate may be still available.

Baby's heart rate....?

Quick question...I went to the doc the other day and my baby%26#039;s heartbeat was 144. He said everything sounds good, etc. But is that a little low? What is the average range? Its been bugging me...

Baby%26#039;s heart rate....?

Nothing to worry about. The twins had rates of 157 and 153, then the next month were down to like, 148 and 146, month after back up... Don%26#039;t really know why. Maybe they were active when it was higher and sleeping when it was lower. Ask your doc if you%26#039;re concerned. Good luck, hon!

Baby%26#039;s heart rate....?

As long as the heartbeat falls between 140 and 180, your fine. Mine was 188 last week and the doctor was actually a bit concerned and I have to go back in today.

Baby%26#039;s heart rate....?

no that is normal. my baby girl%26#039;s heartbeat is the same! take care :)

Baby%26#039;s heart rate....?

i dont know the average range, but my baby now is around that. my dr said that it was fine. if there was a problem with it, your dr would have said so.

Baby%26#039;s heart rate....?

No, that%26#039;s a good heart rate! My baby runs anywhere from 140 to 150. You have nothing to worry about. If they were worried they would say so.

Baby%26#039;s heart rate....?

Nope that is perfectly normal. I seem to think that a low heartbeat is under 120 and high is 160 so 144 sounds perfect. :) Also, If you go by the old wives tale, a heartbeat above 140 means it is a boy. ;)

Baby%26#039;s heart rate....?

it depends how far you are.

my last appointment at 20 weeks the babys rate was 143. which my doctor said is normal.

then it drops for a big and picks up before labour.

don%26#039;t worry if your doctors not.

good luck and congrats

Baby%26#039;s heart rate....?

Average is about 150-180 but lower usually means you will have a boy and a faster heart rate usually means a girl. http://www.amazingpregnancy.com/oldwives... you can take this test to for a gender prediction test

Baby%26#039;s heart rate....?

144 is a great heart rate, good and healthy. Average range for the fetal heart rate is 110 to 160 and when the baby is active it can be as high as 180. Both of my kids ( a girl and a boy) had an average fetal heart rate of 140-150.

Take care =).

Baby%26#039;s heart rate....?

Well they say if its over 160 its a girl and under 160 its a boy. I dont think its too low. It sounds pretty average.

Good luck!

Baby%26#039;s heart rate....?

That%26#039;s fairly fast. My son%26#039;s went as fast as 169 but remained around 140%26#039;s the rest of my 6-7 months.

Baby%26#039;s heart rate....?

Sounds normal to me. Our baby%26#039;s was 146 last week and my doctor said it was normal! So don%26#039;t worry!!!

Baby%26#039;s heart rate....?

No, 144 is absolutely great! My baby%26#039;s is usually below that. At my US last month, it was only 123 - that freaked me out. But he%26#039;s doing great!

Baby%26#039;s heart rate....?

that is a great heart beat.. i%26#039;m having twins and they r as of yesterday 184 and 186 my dr said that was great... so your baby is doing great.. goodlcuk

Baby%26#039;s heart rate....?

My baby girls has always been between 140 %26amp; 162

Baby%26#039;s heart rate....?

no thats not a little low. my babys heat rate at 7 weeks was 127bpm. they say it can average between 110bpm and 190bpm. your baby sounds very healthy as the average is 140bpm. congratulations and good luck

Why does heart rate increase when going from lying down to sitting to standing?

when you are lying down your legs and head are level to your heart, when you sit up your head is above your heart so you heart works a little harder to pump blod up to your brain. and when you stand you heart has to pump blood out with even more pressure to be able to get it to your legs and head. this is why you get light headed when you are sitting and stand all of a sudden because when you are sitting your blood tends to pool up in your legs and standing all of a sudden sends a sudden huge burst of a lot of blood to your brain. your brain gets a little oxygen starved when you are sitting.

Why does heart rate increase when going from lying down to sitting to standing?

because the amount of energy you need increases from each step - also the muscles need more oxygen for each step so the heart works harder to supply it

Why does heart rate increase when going from lying down to sitting to standing?

Your heart is working harder to pump your blood upwards.

Why does heart rate increase when going from lying down to sitting to standing?

when you%26#039;re standing as opposed to lying down, the heart and veins must pump the blood through the body going against a stronger gravitational force.

hope this helps!

Why does heart rate increase when going from lying down to sitting to standing?

At reast 60% of your blood volume is in your veins. The very minute you make the desicion in your brain from laying down to getting up, a series of signals are sent out that instant, throughout the body to make this happen. One, being a signal sent to the heart, telling it to beat more frequently. The reason it does this is to return the majority, deoxygenated blood that is in your veins to your heart so it can travel to your lungs, pick up oxygen, and travel the muscles so they can contract/move - and thus, you can stand up.

I hope this helps! Best of Luck!

Heart Rate Monitor/Calorie Watch?

1.Please guide me, if there be any such HRM without a %26#039;Chest Strap%26#039; ?

2.How this HRM works?

3.How it estimates hom much calories I have burned?

4. At least any Calorie Burn Watch is there, without a %26#039;Chest Strap%26#039; ?

Heart Rate Monitor/Calorie Watch?

I would try www.polar.com they have a wide variety of heart monitors.

Heart Rate Monitor/Calorie Watch?

Hi, how are you doing!

If your concerned about losing weight try reading the following article!

Eat What You Like and Lose Weight. Really!

What is a good heart rate for someone who is exercising? what is too high of a heart rate for exerci

A good formula to figure this out is to take 220 - age

That number would be your max heart rate. Multiply that number by .65 and then again by .85

That range is where you want your heart rate to be.

85% of your max heart rate

65% of your max heart rate

What is a good heart rate for someone who is exercising? what is too high of a heart rate for exercising?

An easier recipe is that you should never be breathing hard, especially if you have any kind of heart problem.

With a heart problem, you should be breathing easy the whole time. Your heart rate may still go up without faster respirations.

Use a monnitor to detect if the rate is going up but you can%26#039;t feel it rising. If it keeps sneaking up, you need to slow down. Its should be able to stay at a constant rate.

Transfer Polar Heart Rate Files?

I have just got a new Laptop and was wondering if anybody knows how i transfer my data from my old laptop to the new one. Otherwise i will have to start all over again!

Thanks,

Andy

Transfer Polar Heart Rate Files?

You will have to install the Polar app that stores the data on the new laptop, then look at the directory where the data files were stored on the old laptop and copy the files from there to the SAME directory on the new laptop. You may have to overwrite the existing files in the new laptop directory.

Is a heart rate of 45-47 bpm normal for a 73 yr. old female or should this be addressed medically?

It needs to be evaluated by a cardiologist.

If the patient is not having any symptoms and the rate itself is regular (no pauses) then possibly they will just monitor her. If she is having dizziness or near syncope, then she may need a pacemaker.

The first thing that would need to be considered before everything else would be her current medications. If she is on any rate limiting medications, they will need to either adjust the doses or stop them. (Examples: Metoprolol (Toprol), Atenolol, Carvidelol (Coreg), Cartia, Cardizem, Digoxin/Lanoxin, Dilitazem, Sotalol, and a few more out there.) Then monitor response.

It%26#039;s definitely time to make an appointment though, and have her checked out by a cardiologist. Hope this helps.

Is a heart rate of 45-47 bpm normal for a 73 yr. old female or should this be addressed medically?

This is pretty slow. usually the normal range is between 60 and 100 bpm.

Is a heart rate of 45-47 bpm normal for a 73 yr. old female or should this be addressed medically?

Uhhh that%26#039;s a very low pulse. Might want to get it checked with a doctor.

Is a heart rate of 45-47 bpm normal for a 73 yr. old female or should this be addressed medically?

MUCH too slow! With that heart rate she should be evaluated in the emergency room immediately. There%26#039;s a good chance that it is caused by other medications, but if not she needs either medication or cardiac pacing. At that rate you risk severe renal failure, and lack of blood flow to the brain.

Is a heart rate of 45-47 bpm normal for a 73 yr. old female or should this be addressed medically?

No...it%26#039;s not normal...she might have sick sinus syndrome. If she has symptoms like dizziness, chest pain or have fainting spells, she might benefit from pacemaker. She needs to be assessed by a cardiologist.

Explain why heart rate increases with an increase in work?

the amount of CO2 produced in the body increases through the use of muscles this starts the heart pumping it up yo

Explain why heart rate increases with an increase in work?

because your muscles are using more oxygen, so you breathe more and your heart must work harder to pump the blood to get the oxygen to your muscles.

Explain why heart rate increases with an increase in work?

It%26#039;s a physical response to get extra blood (carrying oxygen and nutrients) to the muscles in the body that are working harder. When you are in better shape, the heart is able to work more efficiently and that%26#039;s why it doesn%26#039;t need pump as hard as it would for someone who isn%26#039;t in good shape.

EDIT

It%26#039;s also to carry away the increased waste used by the body.

Explain why heart rate increases with an increase in work?

becuase you burn out you oxygen faster through muscles and you heart starts to pump more blood to you body. Thats why you breath heavy cuz you need to give oxygen to your body and the blood carries it.

Explain why heart rate increases with an increase in work?

The same reason your car uses more gas going up a hill.

Your heart pumps oxygenated blood to all the organs and muscles. The harder they work, the more oxygen they require.

Explain why heart rate increases with an increase in work?

You have to breath air and out to make your lungs work if u dont u will die

What is the best heart rate to burn fat...and for how many minutes at that rate?

20 min minumu at 60% to 80% of max heart rate.

What is the best heart rate to burn fat...and for how many minutes at that rate?

calculate ur max heart rate by deducting ur age from 220.

and heart rate should be around 65-85 for good work out

What is the best heart rate to burn fat...and for how many minutes at that rate?

http://alllinthis.blogspot.com

you can get much information in this website, kindly stay a minute in website and check anyone link at a time

What is the best heart rate to burn fat...and for how many minutes at that rate?

between 90-120.

after around 20 minuts you seriously start burning off fat.

Heart rate for embryo?

If you%26#039;re asking what the heart rate for an embryo should be, this would depend on the age of the embryo, but moreso on whether a heartbeat can even be discerned yet, %26amp; thus measured.

The embryonic heart starts beating 22 days after conception, or about five weeks after the last menstrual period, which by convention is called the fifth week of pregnancy. The embryonic heart is too small to hear even with amplification, but may be seen as a flickering in the chest area, using ultrasound as early as the fourth week. After the ninth or tenth week, the baby%26#039;s heartbeat may be heard using a Doppler instrument, though it may be a matter of luck in obtaining the optimum angle. This may become more consistent by the 12th week. After the 20th week, the heartbeat can be heard with the concave side of a stethoscope, or a special stethoscope called a fetoscope.

Between the ninth and 20th weeks, a normal fetal heart rate usually is between 120 and 160 beats per minute.

Heart rate for embryo?

faster than adult.

Heart rate 155...?

do you think it%26#039;s going to be a boy or a girl?

Heart rate 155...?

Boy or girl one of the 2! lol Sorry i don%26#039;t believe in the old wives tails, but they would suggest you would more likely be having a girl as the heart rate is over 140bpm.

Anyway good luck!

Heart rate 155...?

Boy

Heart rate 155...?

Girl閳?br>Heart rate 155...?

I don%26#039;t really believe in old wives tales, but my little girls heartrate is around that.

Heart rate 155...?

a higher heart rate usually means a girl. but get an ultrasound before you start buying pink. congratulations

Heart rate 155...?

the old wives tail isn%26#039;t true.

they say if you have a high heart rate its going to be a girl, but every time we get to hear it on the heart doppler its 160 or above and we%26#039;re having a boy :]

Heart rate 155...?

155? You are going to have your hands full!

Heart rate 155...?

boy

Heart rate 155...?

My first visit the heart rate was around 168 and now has consistently been around 155-150. I%26#039;m now in my 8th month... and its a boy! But then again you could have a very active girl..

Heart rate 155...?

Not sure. My baby%26#039;s heartrate was 170 at my 9 week ultrasound. How many weeks are you?

Heart rate of 128 not exercising?

I am a boy of 16 years old and have a pulse of 128. I have just been to the hospital... that is how i found out and they didn%26#039;t tell me anything about it. Does anyone know what can cause it?

Heart rate of 128 not exercising?

Snorting cocaine

Heart rate of 128 not exercising?

You need to see your regular Dr. %26amp; tell him thus. If you were upset or stressed when you wen to the hospital then that could explain it, but it should not be that high if you are calm %26amp; have not recently excercised.

RN

Heart rate of 128 not exercising?

All sorts of things, if you don%26#039;t do drugs or drink energy drinks there is something wrong with your heart, doesn%26#039;t mean its deadly, but the rhythm isn%26#039;t correct. There are way too many fairly common conditions that can cause this that are manageable. For now trust the doctors, and watch your heart rate, do you feel jittery and lightheaded when its racing? I sure did. Your heart is doing that to supply more oxygen to your brain, its taking up the slack. In my case, its a leaky heart valve, no big deal once you know its there. Although MVP is less common in men it does occur, we just got stretchy valves. I would insist on having a work up by a cardiologist, an echogram will show if the heart isn%26#039;t functioning properly.

If you do a lot of energy drinks, or do drugs, STOP, its affecting your brain and in turn affects your heart.

Does your heart rate beeps fast when you workout?

Mine goes really up when I lift weight or run harder.

On trademill, when I run normal, it%26#039;s between 130 and 150.

When I run really hard, it%26#039;s over 165. Is it normal?

Does your heart rate beeps fast when you workout?

It%26#039;s normal, but since you are concerned, watch how much time it takes to come down to normal after stopping exercise. That is important. Within five minutes is normal.

Does your heart rate beeps fast when you workout?

yes mine is 180 when i push myself on the treadmill

My resting heart rate was just 108. Should I go to the doctor?

Keep in mind that I currently have a pretty severe cold, so I%26#039;ve been taking a bunch of thera flu and ibuprofen the last few days. Plus I just started taking a fat burning pill.

My resting heart rate was just 108. Should I go to the doctor?

Do not take those pills. You will end up in the hospital. Those things are not FDA approved most of the time and who knows what type of damage you are doing to your body.

My resting heart rate was just 108. Should I go to the doctor?

fat burning pill = not smart (you have no idea what%26#039;s in there)

pseudophedrine or other cold medicines can increase your heart rate and BP, so can a fever.

High resting heart rate?

I am almost 7 months pregnant and I check my blood pressure frequently (which is good - my blood pressure that is.) Usually my pulse is around 70. In the last few days I have noticed it being around 110 and even 120 just after a short walk or eating. Does this mean anything?

High resting heart rate?

I am 5 months pregnant with my second in 1.5years. I have actually just read about increase in heartrate. It%26#039;s not because their are 2 hearts beating like someone else had said. When you are pregnant you make a lot of extra blood I don%26#039;t remember specifics of how much it said but with all this extra blood running through our systems our heart has to beat faster to make up for it. I guess pregnant women can aalso get murmers sometimes as well because of all the extra blood. I wouldn%26#039;t be too concerned about it but if you are check in with your dr.

High resting heart rate?

I would not be concerned. Pregnancy places a large toll on your heart since it is beating for two, and it is not uncommon to have an accelerated pace after mild excercise. If you experience chest pain that begins during or after excercise and subsides with rest, however, I would consult your cardiologist.

High resting heart rate?

The baby is taking up space you are used to using to breathe.

WHY does heart rate rise when sugar is consumed?

NOT BLOOD SUGAR! I NEED TO KNOW WHY!

WHY does heart rate rise when sugar is consumed?

sugar is a form of energy. when your body absorbs it, it converts it into insulin, this is then used by your body. your body may feel a rush from the energy found in the sugar. if regular sugar spikes are not monitored, this situation could lead to diabetes.-blurey

My mother had a heart rate of 96 over 67 and pulse rate of 69 this morning.?

Is this dangerous?

My mother had a heart rate of 96 over 67 and pulse rate of 69 this morning.?

Well let me put it this way, I hope you%26#039;re not planning on celebrating Christmas with her.

My mother had a heart rate of 96 over 67 and pulse rate of 69 this morning.?

The normal blood pressure is 120/80 but 96/67 and a pulse of 69 is also good. How old is your mother?

My mother had a heart rate of 96 over 67 and pulse rate of 69 this morning.?

if her heart rate is as you said it is all okay

My mother had a heart rate of 96 over 67 and pulse rate of 69 this morning.?

light yagami...that%26#039;s not even cool. grow up....

as for the question, i think thats fine. i don%26#039;t really know much about that but i just saw yagamis answer and had to tell him hes an evil asshole.

Heart rate of 44- 52 is fine?

Bradycardia (Slow Heart Rate) - Overview

What is bradycardia?

Having bradycardia (say %26quot;bray-dee-KAR-dee-uh%26quot;) means your heart beats very slowly. For most people, a heart rate of 60 to 100 beats a minute while at rest is considered normal. If your heart beats less than 60 times a minute, your doctor may diagnose bradycardia.

A slow heart rate is sometimes normal and can be a sign of being very fit. Healthy young adults and athletes often have heart rates of less than 60 beats a minute.

In other people, bradycardia is a sign of a problem with the heart閳ユ獨 electrical system. It means that the heart%26#039;s natural pacemaker is not working right or that the electrical pathways of the heart are disrupted. In severe forms of bradycardia, the heart beats so slowly that it does not pump enough blood to meet the body%26#039;s needs. This can be life-threatening.

Bradycardia can be caused by:

Changes in the heart that are the result of aging.

Diseases that damage the heart%26#039;s electrical system. These include coronary artery disease, heart attack, and infections such as endocarditis and myocarditis.

Conditions that can slow electrical impulses through the heart. Examples include having a low thyroid level (hypothyroidism) or an electrolyte imbalance, such as too much potassium in the blood.

Some medicines for treating heart problems or high blood pressure, such as beta-blockers, antiarrhythmics, and digoxin.

What are the symptoms?

A very slow heart rate may cause you to:

Feel dizzy or lightheaded.

Feel short of breath and find it harder to exercise.

Feel tired.

Have chest pain or a feeling that your heart is pounding or fluttering (palpitations).

Feel confused or have trouble concentrating.

Faint, if a slow heart rate causes a drop in blood pressure.

Some people don%26#039;t have symptoms, or their symptoms are so mild that they think they are just part of getting older.

You can find out how fast your heart is beating by taking your pulse. If your heartbeat is slow or uneven, talk to your doctor.

Heart rate of 44- 52 is fine?

at rest yes its good!

Heart rate of 44- 52 is fine?

It depends. It may or may not be. Any heart rate less than 60 is considered bradycardia. It may be normal in well conditioned athletes. It also may be an expected result of medications, specifically beta-blockers. It may be abnormal in other conditions.

Heart rate of 44- 52 is fine?

A heart rate at that speed is a little lower than normal average. You have what is called bradycardia. It is hard to know whether it is your heart rate at complete rest or otherwise. A normal heart rate should be between 60-80 beate per minute, otherwise 60-90 beats per minute is usually fine as well. I%26#039;d go and see your doctor

Heart rate of 44- 52 is fine?

are you a marathon runner ?

You may well be getting a pacemaker.

Heart rate Target Zones?

Can someone explain the %26quot;Fat Burning Zone%26quot; and how you calculate what it is. And is that even the best thing to follow for someone one trying to lose weight?

Heart rate Target Zones?

I never payed attention to it when I was with the gym...just get your 40 min.workout at least 4 times a week and really work it, make sure you are sweating after the first 20 mins.....you have then reached the point where you are burning fat

Why does heart rate change faster than respiration rate when you are exercising?

the heart is smaller than the lungs, its like using little wheels on a car compared to big wheels, the little wheels have to go at a higher angular velocity to achieve the same linear speed as the big wheels.

This is not an ideal analogy, since the function of the heart and lungs differ. The heart is just a pump, the lungs are for gas exchange. Both deal with the same fluid, but the goals are different. Respiration is controlled by CO2 and O2 levels, whereas the heart rate is controlled mainly by how much blood is returning to it. It pumps what it gets, if it gets alot, it pumps alot.

You would expect that a increased demand on the heart to pump more blood might translate for a higher demand for gas exchange at the lungs, but the body is only going to do what it needs to do.

Why does heart rate change faster than respiration rate when you are exercising?

Because during aerobic exercise(with Oxygen), you are using the oxygen in your blood and so your heart has to pump more blood faster to support the oxygen you are using during exercise. And the more intense your exercise, the harder and faster your heart has to pump your blood.

Why does heart rate change faster than respiration rate when you are exercising?

Do u mean cellular respiration rates or breathing rates?

Cellular respiration rates should increase in order to release energy to continue the activities (eg. muscular contraction). In order to provide the oxygen and glucose respiring cells require, the heart hence pumps faster to bring more oxygen and glucose for the cells. So actually, the cells respire at a faster rate FIRST before the heart cooperates with them and pumps faster. So the change in heart rate shouldn%26#039;t be faster than change in cellular respr rate.

Of course, you can consider anaerobic respiration, however that will still require glucose.

Heart rate is 154...girl or boy?

i would say girl that is my babys heart beat too !

Heart rate is 154...girl or boy?

girl

Heart rate is 154...girl or boy?

girl

Heart rate is 154...girl or boy?

girl both my girls were in high 140 and 150s and son 120to 130s

Heart rate is 154...girl or boy?

That depends, not on it%26#039;s heartbeat but on other things. When my doctor checked my son%26#039;s heartbeat he always said it was fast so it should be a girl, but since we%26#039;d already looked on the ultrasound we knew it was a boy. He would joke with me and say today he%26#039;s a girl, but we both knew it was a boy. So heart rate is not an accurate way to judge the sex of a baby.

Heart rate is 154...girl or boy?

boy... cuz i%26#039;m prego and his is about that

Heart rate is 154...girl or boy?

Both of my boys%26#039; heartbeat was above 140, which is supposed to be a girl. My second%26#039;s went as high as 180. It all depends how active they are.

Heart rate is 154...girl or boy?

i have to say boy!

i have 2 sons and another on the way and with my oldest his heart was 155 with my second son his heart was 167 and with this one i am carrying it was 162, so i have to say boy!

Congrats!

Heart rate is 154...girl or boy?

Medical studies have proven that heartbeat rate is not an indication of the baby%26#039;s gender.

Heart rate is 154...girl or boy?

My baby%26#039;s heart rate was a little higher and the ultra sound confirmed it was boy. I don%26#039;t think you can by the heart rate hun!

Heart rate is 154...girl or boy?

my baby%26#039;s heart rate was 139 on 20th week and I%26#039;m having a girl!

Heart rate is 154...girl or boy?

Old wives tale would say girl. But again, it isn%26#039;t necessarily true.

Heart rate is 154...girl or boy?

The heart rate can%26#039;t tell you the sex.

Heart rate vs fatburn?

I read a few day ago that there is an optimal HR for fat burning if

it goes higher u start burning more calories from carbs than from fat, I wonder what is my optimal HR range for fat burn, I will be 24 years in a few weeks, weight 77 kg, male, thank you.

Heart rate vs fatburn?

Regardless of the HR you burn protein first, carbs then fat. A higher HR burns calories quicker but it doesnt pick which substance it burns just because it reaches a certain speed.

Heart rate question?

I am a 25 year old, female with MVP. I do a lot of exercising on the excersise bike. My HR never goes past 145BPM. I try to do lots of cardio because I come from a long line of CAD sufferes and I want to stay healthy.

Should it go higher than that? Or is that good?

Heart rate question?

There is no upper limit to your (or anyone%26#039;s) pulse rate.

The brain and central, nervous system automatically configure the pulse rate and stroke volume (simultaneously) so as to deliver the correct %26#039;supply%26#039; cardiac output to meet %26#039;demand%26#039; cardiac output at the %26quot;optimum%26quot; ratio of the two (cardiac output = pulse rate x stroke volume).

The figures you give are excellent But you ask should you push higher.... Well, there%26#039;s no specific reason why you shouldn%26#039;t, unless your systolic pressure becomes so elevated as to present a hazard to blood vessels in your cardiovascular system, but be realistic. Unless you%26#039;re an athlete it isn%26#039;t necessary, and while opinions vary, there isn%26#039;t much evidence that it will do much good!

I%26#039;d say, if you enjoy it, by all means experiment and push yourself, for short bursts only. I suspect you won%26#039;t get near 200bpm, but do wear a monitor while you%26#039;re experimenting, and if your %26quot;pulse-pressure%26quot; more than doubles (that%26#039;s the %26#039;high%26#039; reading minus the %26#039;low%26#039; reading) then err on the side of caution. It%26#039;s healthier for your pulse rate to take the strain than for your stroke volume to do so, and this (stroke volume) is reflected by your systolic pressure. (Pulse-pressure actually, but this, by extension, reflects systolic.)

Heart rate question?

Thank you. -I%26#039;ve starred your question as it raises so many interesting thoughts. Report It

Heart rate question?

This is a good heart rate for you while exercising. Around 168-167 should be your high end of the target range for a 25 yr old. (195 bpm is 100% of your maximum)

MVP should not interfere with your exercise program, unless you%26#039;ve been advised otherwise by your doctor.

Hope this helps!

Heart rate question?

i cant understand the abreviations. but there should also be upperbody cardio so in the future when you get old, your unused upper will still be usefull. i think 145 is way to much, i use to do 120 the same as a babies heart when it is born.

Heart rate question?

mitral valve prolapse is a benign condition and normally does not interfere with the functions of heart.

If my heart rate and blood pressure is normal could I still have heart problems?

Only if you had a heart defect.

If my heart rate and blood pressure is normal could I still have heart problems?

Yes. But you would really need to go to a doctor for testing to find out for sure. I hope you don%26#039;t have any kind of heart defects, but if you think you might, please see a doctor right away. Good Luck!

If my heart rate and blood pressure is normal could I still have heart problems?

You could but would be very very very very... (u get it) HARD to happened, but if you have bad luck u could.

If my heart rate and blood pressure is normal could I still have heart problems?

Yes, please go to a doc, asap! If you suspect something is wrong, better safe than sorry. They have many blood tests that may tell if you have an undetected heart problem, as well as EKG%26#039;s, heart sonograms and stress test. good luck!

If my heart rate and blood pressure is normal could I still have heart problems?

You could have a perfect heart rate and blood pressure for years and have 75% blocked arteries. My dad had a perfect heart rate and blood pressure all his life. He had a heart attack and needed three stints put in his heart arteries to open them up. So don%26#039;t forget about cholesterol.

Is increased heart rate and heart flutters normal in pregancy?

Hi! I carried twins recently and due to the weight of the two babies cutting off my blood supply I would have the both of those. I actually had to go to the emergency room where they put me on a heart monitor. To make a long story short when these instances occur make sure to lay down on your left side. I was told by doctors and nurses to do this and it worked. Also lots and lots of water is good. Make sure to mention it to your doctor just for safe measure. Good luck!

Is increased heart rate and heart flutters normal in pregancy?

Yes. It is because your blood volume increases by at least 50% = lots more blood pumping through your heart! :)

Is increased heart rate and heart flutters normal in pregancy?

That%26#039;s normal for u to have a fast heart rate. The blood increase in your body that flows to the child and u.

Why is the female heart rate faster than the male heart rate?

Because I%26#039;m around, and I have that heart-quickening effect on women.

Why is the female heart rate faster than the male heart rate?

Because we put up with more bullshit than them!=0P

Why is the female heart rate faster than the male heart rate?

That%26#039;s the first I heard of it ... males have higher blood volume, that may have something to do with it.

Why is the female heart rate faster than the male heart rate?

because their minds are always thinking of things for men to do...

Why is the female heart rate faster than the male heart rate?

I didn%26#039;t know there was a difference.

Why is the female heart rate faster than the male heart rate?

Never knew that... so I have no clue.

You%26#039;ve got me wondering now, though, lol.

Why is the female heart rate faster than the male heart rate?

because we have bigger hearts LOL

Heart rate predict gender?

is there any truth in this myth ..please share ur personal experience

Heart rate predict gender?

No I am pregnant with my third baby and the have all had relatively the same heart rate, between 150-155. I had a boy first than a girl and this one we won%26#039;t find out til August 1st.

Heart rate predict gender?

my doctor did it... He was right

Heart rate predict gender?

My sons heartrate stayed fast, and I%26#039;ve heard that females are slow but I doubt it.

Heart rate predict gender?

No truth...it is about the same as flipping a coin.

My Daughter and my Son both had the same heart rate while in utero.Usually around 154.

Heart rate predict gender?

my sons has been 150-170 all along. so no it didnt work with me :( lol but i couldnt be happier

um why did i get a thumbs down?? idiot..

Heart rate predict gender?

Not from my experience. I had two kids and both were the opposite gender from what their heartbeats predicted.

Heart rate predict gender?

It totally depends from person to person.

Heart rate predict gender?

I%26#039;ve read that it%26#039;s true about 50% of the time, which aren%26#039;t very good odds, are they? In fact, I am pregnant with a boy, and when my baby%26#039;s heartbeat registered at 160 bpm, my doctor made a crack about the old wives%26#039; tales not being too accurate!

Heart rate predict gender?

it%26#039;s true and my doctor says so too. if the heart rate is slow it%26#039;s a girl and if it%26#039;s fast it%26#039;s a boy. boys heart rates are naturally faster than girls at any age.

Heart rate predict gender?

They say that a womans heart rate is faster than men and that is why they predict if it is faster then it will be a girl and slower will be a boy but to be honest a baby%26#039;s heart beats differntly at different stages so it is very hard to tell, just another old wives tale to allow us to have fun guessing

Heart rate predict gender?

No, it%26#039;s not a reliable method at all. The baby%26#039;s heartrate changes depending on what stage of development it%26#039;s in (it starts out faster %26amp; slows down as time goes on). Also, it changes depending on whether the baby is at rest or active, awake or asleep. By the time they can really tell whether it%26#039;s a boy or a girl by the heartbeat (at the very end of the pregnancy), they can see the gender easily with a sonogram (ultrasound)... which is much more reliable, anyway.

Heart rate predict gender?

When I was pregnant with my first son, his heart rate was high and everybody kept telling me I was going to have a boy, and when I had an ultrasound done, sure enough it was a boy! When I pregnant with my daughter her heart rate was low and once again they all told me I was having a girl, and sure enough the ultrasound proved right! Finally with my 3rd baby, his heart rate was also high so I knew I was going to have another boy and the ultrasound proved right again! So yes I do believe that there is truth to that. I didn%26#039;t believe it at fist either until I found out for myself.

Heart rate predict gender?

I%26#039;ve never been pregnant and i%26#039;ve never heard of such myth. but who know there might just be some truth to it.

Heart rate predict gender?

As Wive%26#039;s tale says, if your unborn child%26#039;s heart rate is 140+, it%26#039;s a girl, 140 or less, it%26#039;s a boy. This is based on the fact that women%26#039;s metabolisms are faster than mens and thereby create a faster heart rate. However, all fetus%26#039; 9-19 weeks have a heart rate between 160 and 190. This can be increased by movement of the fetus as well as sugar in your diet. A slower heart rate is not an indication of sex. It is, however an indication of gestational age and can help your practicioner in verifying the term of your pregnancy

In my souce, I%26#039;ve included a link to a study conducted by Dr. Dubose disproving the theory that heart rates predict gender. Good luck with your pregnancy!

Heart rate predict gender?

Since before I even got pregnant I always thought I was going to have a girl. At my first ultrasound, the doc said the heart beat was good but very fast; 190. From all the research Ive done about the old wives tales, I should be having a girl according to how fast the heart it beating. I wont find out until Sep 24 what the gender is, but wouldnt it be cool if it was right?

Heart rate predict gender?

An asian doctor predicted my first child would be a son because of his heart rate. It was 170, and she seemed very certain. I was a slittle skeptical, but she was right. She didn%26#039;t explain the differences in boys or girls heart rates to me though, so I%26#039;m really not sure what the difference is. To be honest, I%26#039;m not even sure it really was the heart rate she was looking at for her prediction, even though that was what she said.

I have put a lot of stock lately in what little old asian ladies tell me though...

With my second son, I found out his sex while I was checking my mail. A woman walked up to me, and put her hand on my tummy. This was before I was even showing, so it creeped me out a little, but she told me I will have a baby boy, and walked away... She was correct, and to this day I will never know how she even knew I was pregnant...

Heart rate predict gender?

my baby%26#039;s heartrate is always around 160...its a girl, so theres some proof i suppose?

Heart rate predict gender?

I was just at my doctor yesterday and asked her about it. I read that if its below 140 its a boy and if it%26#039;s above 140 it%26#039;s a girl. The heartbeat was 160, very fast and when I asked her, she said there is a very good chance that it is a girl but nothing 100% and that some boys do have faster heartbeat. I won%26#039;t find out if this is right until next month.

Heart rate predict gender?

i think the heart rate method is a myth. I think if it was true we would not need ultrasounds we could just go by the heart rate/

Heart rate predict gender?

I have had 2 children, both girls, and the heart rate thing worked with my first one and I started to believe it. But with my second one her heart rate was much higher in the so called boy range. Well, she wasn%26#039;t a boy. I don%26#039;t think it is really something to by and ultrasoud is the best. But it was fun to think about. :-) Good Luck

What is my target heart rate zone if im 14, and my resting heart rate is 81 bpm?

77

What is my target heart rate zone if im 14, and my resting heart rate is 81 bpm?

72 I THINK

What is my target heart rate zone if im 14, and my resting heart rate is 81 bpm?

this is my PE homework...

Heart rate monitor - Watch - are they good? I am thinking of spending $70 ... worth it?

70 BUCKS!!!!!!

thats too much buddy, i recommend you look for them on wallmart or heb ( i saw some american brand ones on mexico at 500 pesos or 40 dollars)

=)

Heart rate monitor - Watch - are they good? I am thinking of spending $70 ... worth it?

No thats too much, and check them out, I have my arm so thin, that no watch takes my rate... is weird.

My resting heart rate is in the 70's, how high should it increase with normal daily activities?

The reason i ask is that i havent excersised in a long time and i notice latley that after breakfest, and a shower it is already in the 90%26#039;s.And if im in a rush it will be 100 - 120. Is this normal since i havent excersised in a long time? Thankyou.

My resting heart rate is in the 70%26#039;s, how high should it increase with normal daily activities?

It depends on your size, your gender, your physical fitness and your mental condition.

If you are small, a female, average fitness and are quite stressed then this resting heart rate would be fairly normal.

However, if you are the opposite of these things, it could suggest that you might need to give your cardio a bit of a re-haul! Good luck :)

My resting heart rate is in the 70%26#039;s, how high should it increase with normal daily activities?

Yep, because you must be really out of shape!

R your heart rate and blood pressure higher or lower when you are healthy?

Your heart rate is usually lower, and your blood pressure should be normal, which is around 120/80.

R your heart rate and blood pressure higher or lower when you are healthy?

well normal blood pressure is about 120/80 so if you are healthy then you should be within that range.. however exercise can temporarily lower blood pressure look at http://www.vaughns-1-pagers.com/medicine... for a schematic diagram of blood pressure levels

As for heart rate.. resting rate is relative to the person.. generally if you are healthy you can reach higher maximum heart rates during activity but are able to bring your body back down to normal resting rate easier and faster than someone who is not as fit

hope that helps

What is the optimal heart rate for weight loss?

i have been told a veriaty of rates from 50% to 85%

What is the optimal heart rate for weight loss?

You will get the most WEIGHT loss at about 80-90%

But if you%26#039;re toning up then you%26#039;ll get the most FAT loss at about 60-70%

Hope this helps

Increased heart rate?

Can having a viral infection wish symptoms of a cold and a slight fever cause an increase in the heartrate?

Increased heart rate?

are you taking cold medicine? Sudafed causes this. or also called pseudoephedrine.
